it's a nice place to spend a bit of time (not too much). The setting is beautiful with some great overlooks of the city. It was a little strange to me (but I guess I need to think about the name) that there are so many competing little restaurants that seem to have pretty much the same menu. I was glad to have found a chicken salad offered at the restaurant in the center of this area. It was a nice break.

Excellent experience but only because we had a guided tour by a local expert. To go alone you would miss a lot of the history and significance. Some of the kiosks/stalls are expensive! They are catering for gringo tourists.

This tour exceeded our expectations. We learned a lot about the history of coffee and how it started in Colombia. In addition, our guide Dani and Alexa taught us the process from planting, harvest, filtering, drying, roasting, and then tasting.

We got to harvest our own coffee fruit in the hills and understand the art and complexity of the entire process.

The lovely people at the farm cooked us a wonderful home-cooked meal where all the ingredients came from the farm. At the end, we did a tasting tour and tried various coffee - with the natural and honeyed our favorite.

Highly recommend this tour, and shoutout to Dani for being such a fantastic guide. 5/5

I stayed nearby and by day I didn't feel this park was up to much. But my goodness by the evening it is such a vibrant, throbbing, busy area with some cracking restaurants and bars around..
Lots of performance artists and music give it a great vibe, it couldn't be more different from when it was daytime!

A visit to Medellin means that you must try to visit Comuna 13. It's very touristy now but VERY cool. We had a guided tour. That was helpful. We did a lot of walking up slopes and back down. Totally worthwhile

Great view, just really touristy. We expected that though. If you're going to hike up there, wear good shoes and expect to be really hot!

Gorgeous cathedral in downtown Medellin. It has wonderful facade, best seen from the plaza out front.
It was not open on our visit but that didn't stop us admiring it from outside. A beautiful building.

We had a walking tour of the city and ooe of the areas we visited was this huge plaza outside the Antioquia government buildings and town hall. The buildings are striking and there is an incredible curved sculpture that dominates the area.
We really enjoyed it and I'd recommend it without hesitation.

Very distinctive building in downtown Medellin near the Antioquia Government building. It's so distinctive its known as the French Fries building! Very apt given its design! Worth a quick photo stop.

Cozy place located in El Poblado where you can receive spiritual relief. An open door policy with the building being well maintained. There is daily services.

The interior is not elaborate, the ceiling is high and the decor toned except for the eye-pleasing stain-glass windows. The exterior of this early 1950s church is magnificent. Be a bit careful in this neighborhood. Stay awake and alert and do not behave touristy.

We stayed down the street at the Estelar Square Hotel, and drove by this unique small sanctuary at least a dozen times. Each day, many people come and pay their respect to the Virgin Mary. Cool spot to see if in the area.
