- Li ya4 contributionsI've always hated learning musical instuments in school because I struggle way too much. When i arrived at R studio I was super nervous because I knew I was a really slow learner with no musical talet whatsoever!
However Rachel was a really calm and patient teacher! She was very friendly and helped break the ice. Her lesson was really informative and I really enjoyed the session.
I assumed the lesson would be super stressful but actually it was really calming and fun. Even though the instument itself is hard to master, I managed to learn to play a small tune in just 1 hour! I loved how quickly I learnt and got to achieve something!
Also had some wonderful tea and got to wear Hanfu (traditional chinese dress) during the class which felt really fancy!
If I was staying in China longer I would definitely continue the lessons!

She accompanied us to iconic places such as the Wuhou Shrine, Jin li, Du Jiang Yan, Kuan Zhai Alley, and many more. Her explanations were clear and well-articulated, providing us with a deep understanding of the historical and cultural significance of each site.
Lala made our visit to the Panda Research Center extra special by ensuring we explored the entire facility. Her knowledge and passion for the pandas enriched our experience, making it truly memorable.
Not only did she make our stay in Chengdu enjoyable, but her kindness and friendliness also left a lasting impression. Lala, gave us numerous tips for navigating the city, ensuring we had the best possible experience. I still remember her insightful explanation of the Wuhou Shrine and the respect the people have for their kings, emphasizing qualities such as integrity.
China is undoubtedly a beautiful country with beautiful people, and Lala is a shining example of this. Her warm heart and dedication to her role as a tour guide turned our trip into an unforgettable journey. She is well-trained and very knowledgeable specifically in how to teach foreigners Chinese, and it shows! A lot of work is put into planning lessons in a way that is most helpful for the student. I decided to join XMandarin’s group classes to take a gap year before starting university next year. Their attentive service, excellent support, and engaging group learning environment convinced me to study Mandarin in Chengdu.
I arrived in China just over a month ago, and it has been the most incredible experience of my life! The food, the culture, and especially the people in Chengdu are amazing.
