    Great way to see pandas
    Great tour, Wells was super helpful and knew where to go first to avoid crowds and so on. Logistics were smooth and it was a great day out- thanks Wells!

    We had an amazing time with Jerry. He was incredibly knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. The tour was lots of fun and we had a great time making some incredible dishes. Highly recommended! Thank you Jerry.

    Great guide, great food
    The guide was very friendly and energetic, the food was amazing, and other tour members were great too! Gave us a great introduction to the food for the rest of our time in chengdu

    Excellent Cultural Show
    We booked this last minute through Mr Lee, a tour guide in Chengdu. We met him before the show where he gave us an English explanation of the show to set the scene. It turned out to be absolutely amazing. There was many different acts that were all unique to the culture. Highly recommend going! They also had English subtitles on tv screens (although there wasn’t heaps of talking anyway).

    Worth reaching out to him to organise cheaper tickets and the explanation for those that don’t speak Chinese.

    Very Touristy- Don’t Go when Warm Weather
    Don’t visit in summer or autumn - too hot for pandas and very limited and controlled enclosure viewings.

    Very large park set up for mass tourists and a lot of walking involved. There was a golf buggy shuttle available but long lines and wait times involved. Not great when you only have a AM or PM ticket session window at the park.

    It was about 30 deg C day and we arrived 10am and were done by 12pm.

    Signs were up at all enclosures saying due to heat pandas were inside and viewing lines were controlled walk throughs.

    Our contact time with a giant panda would have been about 1 min each for three sightings though glass.

    If wasn’t for the the red pandas this would have been a one star review.

    Panda Valley in Dujiangyan (run by same company) is a much much better experience.

    Very nice scenery and pandas are just cute. Definitely a must do when in the region. Not only for children, but everyone who likes animals.

    Great day with Pandas
    Was a good day. Guide was very knowledgable and helpful. Although tour picks you up, it only does it from a few set hotels.

    Excellent Day Trip from Chengdu
    Really excellent day with Patrick. He was full of information and really helped us get a feel for these places.

    Bella and the pandas were awesome
    This was my first panda experience. I was thrilled to be able to see these animals in person. The weather was very warm and humid, so all the pandas were inside, which was unfortunate. For someone like me who doesn't speak Chinese, it was great having a tour guide who spoke English. My tour guide was Bella, and she was awesome. I never felt rushed, she answered all my questions, was very personable. Highly recommended!

    Excellent Experience with Emily!
    We had a fantastic day out with Emily Jade! She was super flexible on the itinerary and customized to meet our interests. The tour was a great mix of history and anecdotes shared by Emily about her life and views. After the tour, Emily went above and beyond to help us with transportation we needed a few days later outside the city. She communicated directly with another driver (who only spoke Mandarin) to coordinate our transport to and from a panda reserve. Also, her colleague who drove us on both occasions was very helpful and had a comfortable clean car. 10 out of 10.

    A Personalized Panda Experience: Guided by Sarah's Kindness and Knowledge
    We had a wonderful day at the panda research base with our guide, Sarah. She taught us many interesting things about pandas. Taking part in the food preparation was a fun and enriching experience. Sarah guided us kindly with her knowledge about pandas and Sichuanese culture and she took the time to take plenty of photos for us. We highly recommend this activity with Sarah to anyone wanting to learn more about pandas while having a good time.

    Cool volunteering experience with pandas
    Everybody from WestChinaGo Travel Service was amazing! I contacted them via WhatsApp with some questions, and they ensured I had all the information before booking. On the day of the activity, my guide was incredibly accommodating, kind, and attentive. I felt very well taken care of.

    Before booking, please note that you won't be allowed to touch or feed the pandas. I find this rule to be very reasonable and fair as I wouldn't want to stress the animals. 

    The only thing that I didn't really like is that the experience involved a bit less actual work than I expected (and wanted) based on some reviews I had read. This isn't a reflection on WestChinaGo as the activities are organized by the research base.

    Overall, I'm incredibly glad I did this and would do it again! A huge thank you to the girls from WestChinaGo!

    The peak of professionalism and tour competency.
    The whole experience, from the booking through the actual tour was an excellent. Lilly provided clear communication leading up to the tour date which eliminated any questions or concerns. On the day of the tour, Molly, our tour guide, did an excellent job. She knew the location well and was able to provide interesting facts as we progressed through our day. This is a first rate, highly professional team.

    Highly recommended
    We had a full day excursion to see the Panda base reserve and the Giant Buddha. Our guide, Abby, was punctual, kind, and provided us with all the information we needed covering both activities and general information about Chengdu and China. We also had a personal driver, who drove safely and was very nice. We highly recommend this excursion!
