We enjoyed the class very much and learned a lot of new information, even in details. We first went to a market and saw and tasted fruits and veggies we hadn‘t used before. Arriving at the kitchen, the chef first showed the preparation of the dishes step-by-step. Afterwards, we reproduced the cooking by ourselves, supported by both cooking teachers. We then tasted the dishes we had made and compared them to each other to better understand which details in preparation resulted in which tastes. I now feel much more informed about Sichuan kitchen and capable of reproducing the dishes we learned also at home. There was lots of possibility for hands-on-experience and we could also taste exotic food, as for example Chinese fermented duck eggs. Winter invested a lot of time to answer all our questions and cared for an easy-going and fun experience for us. He even took care of taking photos so we could focus on cooking. Thank you for the great time we had!

Lost Plate and the guides always do an amazing job on their food tours. This was my second one in Chengdu and I was excited to try all of the food again. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and the local history of the locations and food. Anytime friends or family visit, this is a go-to experience.

My partner and I did a half day cooking class here with translator and guide Lance. This was the perfect activity to end our trip to Chengdu. It was so fun to learn how to make some of our favorite Sichuan dishes. Lance also gave us some fun challenges to do while exploring the market and took great photos of us while we were cooking. It was so fun to learn more about Chengdu food culture!

We had a fantastic day with Lance. We visited the local market, learned all about Chinese spices and local Food. We made Sichuan springrolls and Dumplings. After some tea and snacks we started making buns. It was harder than expected but fun to learn. We highly recommend this trip and thank Lance for this special day in Chengdu!

We were here three years ago and forgot to leave a review. But this was one of the highlights of our visit to Chengdu!

Sad street food variety and experience. Sad shows of silly noodle slicing and chicken cooking. It was a waste of few hours for us.

We had an amazing cooking experience with Theresa! She was extremely accommodating with our dietary needs (vegetarian) and modified the recipes accordingly! She even sent us the recipes after the class was over! 10 out of 10 would definitely recommend!!!

This was a great way to see some of the main sights of Chengdu (Qingyang Gong, Cultural Park, People's Park, Wide and Narrow Alley), try lots of tea, and eat some great snacks (I'm still dreaming about that guo kui we ate). Greenie was our guide and had a level of enthusiasm I didn't think was possible. Definitely recommended :)

We spent not one, but two days with Aline in Chengdu, learning about Sichuan cooking. We had originally booked the first day only, but wound up having so much fun that we scheduled another day later in our trip.

Aline was a fantastic guide, helping me with logistics and questions before we even arrived in China. She was a lot of fun once we got there, and not only taught us delicious recipes and cooking techniques, but also taught us a lot of interesting things about the cuisine and culture.

Even on the days we didn't see her she was helpful and always able to answer questions for me about things like getting around the city, and where to find places.
Next time I'm in the area I would look her up in a heartbeat!! I hope we get to meet again and have more fun adventures.

My friend and I had a fun and relaxing day out with our guide, Ocean! Thank you :)

The pandas were adorable and Ocean was always able to find us the best viewing spot. We then had some local Sichuan snacks and noodles while enjoying some tea. It would have been better to have more time to sit and chat but we had a meal to prepare. The market tour was interesting and Ocean introduced us to all the different vegetables, meat and spices that are available. And to top off the day, we made an amazing meal!

I would definitely recommend this tour with Chilli Cool China!
