What travelers are saying
- Traveller_OldieCharleston, SC284 contributionsNice open area to view the ocean and the high rise buildings. In the evening the buildings are lit up and a lot of people gather to see it.Written July 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KMCQingdao, China31 contributionsThe old street lamps, the tree-lined avenues, the silence, and that nostalgic feeling upon seeing so many old German homes, reminds me of my time in Germany. I visit this area almost every weekend. Improvements are being made yearly, and efforts to convert derelict homes into quaint cafes have been mostly successful.Written March 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Traveller_OldieCharleston, SC284 contributionsVery nice church and typical European Square. But not much more. Luckily a German stall selling Bratwurst and cold beer made it worth the visit.Written July 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ROCruiserClaremont, CA4,655 contributionsThis iconic bridge with the pavilion is very much appreciated by the locals. It was quite busy on the day we visited with some people tagging along their luggage, which I don't know where they were going. We, on the other hand, did not walk all the way out. Just enjoyed the view from the beach area.Written May 20, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ROCruiserClaremont, CA4,655 contributionsThis was one of the most notable villas in Badaguan. This building can been seen from the beach and walking by for a closer look. We were told that President Chiang Kai Shek and his wife Madame Soong Mei Ling stayed there when they visited Qingdao.Written May 20, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Romain T4 contributionsI have been coming to qingdao for many years but someone never managed to go see this temple.
It s worth a visit if you are in the area, the entrance only cost 10 RMB which makes it one of the most affordable attraction in qingdao along with the zoo.
Expect to spend about 1h there.Written August 14, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There are many restaurants to choose from, all selling beer of course. We were there recently (October) which is off season in China, so it was not very busy. The food we picked was good if a tad pricey, but we think the experience is worth paying a little extra for lol.Written November 1, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laxiaozi08200912Beijing, China1,277 contributionsBriefly visited there. It wasn't even something that really attracted me because of how strict the staff are at the university...not even all that polite, it's understandable to NOT smile all that much, but why do you act so rude and talk so demanding and condescending towards others you don't know?! Don't know how to say it.Written May 9, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- wengloktohCalgary, Canada274 contributionsIts fascinating because of the mixture of German architecture in a Chinese environment.Total different feelings altogetherWritten October 12, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - belleretraiteMontreal, Canada7,963 contributionsThe very modern cruise terminal ih huge and it takes a long walk to exit it ! It is a very nice building but utilized at no more than 1% of its capacity !Written March 19, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Nick O14 contributionsWe went hoping to climb the highest peak in Laoshan, Jufeng Peak at 3,700 ft. However, the peak is closed, as is much of the central region of Jufeng. But you can climb one of the highest peaks nearby, Lingqi (Lion) Peak at 3,400 ft, one of the three 3,000ft + peaks in the park. Go to the Laoshan Tourist centre (at the South West cornerof the park). You can buy a ticket (RMB120) to take the shuttle coach (many of them) to the Jufeng Cable car (20 mins). Look out for the amazing rock carvings the coach passes on the way up into the park. Thence another ticket (RMB40) up to the cable car station halfway up the mountain. A one hour walk up 1,000 feet of easy steps takes you to the top of Lingqi where you get some great views. This is now the highest accesable point in Laoshan.Written August 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laxiaozi08200912Beijing, China1,277 contributions21 Oct 2011, that's when I went there by car, it takes about 4 hours of driving with a tour guide! You can see the beautiful sea coast line all around the place, in my opinion, it's better than Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, Laguna Beach combined because there are many many pelicans and exotic seagulls there, it's as if that's a national park by the sea.Written February 18, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
