She is extremely knowledgeable about the history, culture and artistic endeavours of the locations we visited during our tour. We were given a most interesting learning experience during our trip. She also gave us important insights about the economy and people of Shenzhen and their aspirations . Lina is also sincere and very attentive and client centric. After our tour, she could have just left us, but she even helped us with the hotel check in and got us a room upgrade. - Jim C1 contributionSunny was awesome to work with to organize our trip and answer our questions. Our assigned tour guide in Shenzhen was Janice and she was equally awesome!
She took us to the places we wanted to shop at…showing us and introducing us to retailers and vendors who had quality goods. It was a great overall experience and we even got to see some highlights at a monument in Shenzhen above the city.
The driver and accommodations were first class as well, with great AC, which we needed since it was a hot time of the year in Shenzhen. Sunny also gave great instructions on where and how to be picked up at the Shenzhen rail station. And Janice was nice enough to accompany us into the rail station to show us where to get our train for the return trip home. The hospitality was top-notch.
My only complaint (minor) is that it would’ve been good to know that the markets open at 10:30am so we could’ve booked a later train time from HK.
But it all worked out well in the end! Shenzhen was farmland not long ago and in 30 plus years became the 3rd largest city in China, with the second most skyscrapers in the world with the 5th tallest building in the world, and a bullet train to Hong Kong which takes a mere 13 minutes. Jacky expertly guided us on a full day of exploration of this new modern city. Once we arrived via train from Hong Kong, we chose to walk from one site to the next but if we were not up for the walking, Jacky could have ferried via taxi. We explored lively open air markets, massive underground malls, a flower festival at Lianhuashan Park, the Civic Center and 2 observations decks including the Ping A building that have 360 views of this impressive city.
We highly recommend this tour with Jacky and his company, This Is Asia Tour. Jacky is very knowledgeable and customized the tour to our interests.
