An excellent day out. The guide, Chenda, had lots of interesting information about the area and answered my many questions. I particularly liked his artistic skills which he used to explain the history of the area He offered the chance for me to try some of the fruit that was being sold. He knew the best places to take photos and offered to take some with me in them, which as a solo traveller was invaluable. All the local people knew him which created a great atmosphere.
The lingas, reclining Buddha and waterfall were all worth seeing. You have to take your shoes off to see the Buddha. As it is outside this can result in wet feet if it has been raining so you might want to bring a towel and spare pair of socks. The spray from the waterfall is strong so if you do not want to get wet you will need waterproofs. We also stopped on the drive up to take a look at the amazing scenery
Water was provided. There was ample opportunity for toilet stops. The restaurant food was very nice and at a reasonable price. There was enough on the menu to cater for all tastes.
The driver, Mr Yang, drove safely and had a great sense of humour.
