Siem Reap Shopping Guide

Shopping Siem Reap can be as rewarding as exploring Angkor Archaeological Park’s exquisite temples—and there’s no need to wake at the crack of dawn. Siem Reap is home to craft markets, stylish boutiques, artisanal workshops, and artist’s ateliers, all filled with treasures that you can take back home. They're open well into the night for those who made it to Angkor Wat at sunrise.

Old Market Area

Composed of just a handful of blocks, Siem Reap’s compact historic heart is shopping central. Named after the riverside French colonial-era Old Market (Psar Chas), the area is lined with Chinese shophouses that are home to some of the city’s best stores, including Christine’s, Graines de Cambodge, Senteurs d’Angkor, and Cambolic. Just across the Siem Reap River, the King’s Road Angkor complex is the home of the Made in Cambodia market and a Sombai stall, where you can find a host of rice-infused spirits.

... sweet girl named Sara gave me a wonderful tour of the upstairs infusing area then provided a tasting of the 8 infused rice wine flavors - most of them very tasty!! Then came the jams and shopping of course.
The short tour of the rice wine infusing upstairs is interesting, and you can see the large range of handpainted art on bottles as well as the artists in the process of handpainting them.
