- BespecialtoursSalzburg Region, Austria106 contributionsGreat nature and not so many tourists there. It is still a jewel in this area and I think an almost must-see.
It is a bit of a hike to arrive there but with sport's shoes easy to get there.
A relaxing place nearby the waterfall is a great time and kids have also a good time there.
It takes from the train station of St. Wolfgang about 20 minutes to get there. Just watch out that sometimes the stones and the roots can be slippery.Written October 20, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The train was full, and it was really warm. Though, I have to mention that the tickets for the train are quite expensive. You have to select a certain hour when you go up and down, as the train has limited seats, but if you want to go down with an earlier train, that is not possible because the ticket is valid for that particular schedule that you purchased. We purchased online just to go up, then we changed our mind and bought ticket for coming down as well. But it was more expensive this way than purchasing online both ways.
Otherwise it worth visiting once because of the view. Be aware that there are 2-3 restaurants, and most of them only accept cash.Written August 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The staff are always friendly and helpful and are ready to help you with queries. The ships are spotlessly clean, punctual and well set out. There are a small range of drinks and snacks available to buy on board tooWritten August 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
