- Jeffrey G1 contributionIncredibly educational. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Embodied the open doors open minds slogan. Plus there are snacks! Very much worth a visit.Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AJD28Gujarat, India477 contributionsWhat a beautiful, spiritually uplifting experience. Extremely peaceful and a feeling of serenity. Welcoming to all faiths and types. Slow and respectful entry with the ability to carefully enter the prayer hall and offer prayers. Beautiful surroundings, intricately designed and maintained. The ability for all to have langar in the dining area with the only requirement not to waste any food. A lovely ethos and opportunity to mix with those of different faiths. The Gurudwara is easily accessible, adjacent to the Hindu Temple and opposite a church.Written July 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - alshafiarahmanManchester, UK7 contributionsLarge mosque and tends to get very busy on Fridays so best to arrive early to get a seat inside in the air con. Sounds obvious but be aware that Friday prayer times are different to normal Duhr prayer times. Hotel staff will unlikely know that if you ask them and may just give you the duhr time from Google. Currently Friday prayer/khutbah starts at 1:15. Advisable to be there from 12:45Written August 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shahin A41 contributionsAlhamdulilah what an amazing place of worship. - Murat DemirDubai, United Arab Emirates8 contributionsTemples have always attracted my attention. I have always liked how people build their religious beliefs in an ostentatious way. This mosque caught my attention. I went to it, looked at it and took photos. Its architecture and the outer covering material used were the reason for me to look at it. It was clean and well-maintained. As a Muslim, I too I evaluated this mosque in modern lines. As a decoration art, I painted the exterior of the mosque.
The word Shahadah, the first condition of Islam, was written in Arabic script. Lines from Ottoman architecture were used. The stained glass workmanship in the domes and windows reminded me of this.I didn't go inside the mosque, I just stood in its garden and observed.Written October 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. To be told of the tolerance is one thing but to see tolerance in the reality of hundreds of devotees gathering to worship demonstrates true acceptance of others and their beliefs.Written August 17, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - László K2 contributionsIt was amazing, lot of number one things, e.g expensieve carpets, fire resistant wood and amazing tiles. It is the place full of peace. Really kind staff. We were there with our active 2.5years old son and they was really kind with him too.Written November 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert ORotterdam, The Netherlands5,837 contributionsSpecial about this mosque in Bur Dubai is, it is welcoming guests who want to know more about the core values of Islam. Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday morning they offer tours (free of charge).
The architecture of the mosque is rather conventional. The present building is a 1998 replica of a 1960s mosque. Remarkable is the 70m tall minaret.Written February 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - California_momofsixFairfield1,123 contributionsHindi Lane can be found behind the large Bur Dubai Mosque, between the Hindu temple and the creek.
I was conflicted about coming here, previous reviews about pushy sales people almost put me off but one of my travel guides highly recommended it as a hidden gem. My experience wasn't traumatic like that of others, but I can't recommend it either.
Visiting during Covid, the lane was very quiet and some stores were closed. We saw beautiful flower chains and religious items, but the area was much smaller than we expected and I didn't have the feeling of being transported to India. We were not approached by any shop owners, they were all sitting and looking at their phones (I am not sure if this was due to Covid or not, since sellers in other parts of the city were still very aggressive)
We did feel safe but wouldn't come back.Written May 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - I visited this place🇺🇸🇫🇷🇨đź‡đź‡¬đź‡·đź‡¬đź‡§Israel35,280 contributionsPROS

* Supplying group Sabbath meals for visitors
* Acting as (semi) or (un) official Chief Rabbi and representative and emissary of the Jews and Jewish community to the rulers of the UAE
* The support staff are young and idealistic and dedicated to their mission in Dubai
CONS
* The attendants and support staff are young and new to this type of work
* Prayer events and communal meals at the outstanding Address Marina Hotel
* Sabbath meals are incredibly expensive, especially in light of the quantity and quality provided, but it is a "Godsend" for sabbath observers in Dubai, who descend in drovers (sometimes close to 180-200 people) to partake of communal festivities on the weekend.
"I VISITED THIS PLACE"...
... because I had heard of this Jewish religious movement and wanted to avail myself of what it provided and offered, and I did just that.
The morning prayer meetings were good and quick- always starting on time at 0800h and moving quickly. Once, sandwiches were provided afterwards to the celebrants- a big bonus!
The Sabbath events and festivities were crowded and the meals in a big hall with 100+ people were Ok and the food was OK.

We went in a Friday for Jumu'ah prayers.
Easy access, ample parking, really friendly congregation, wonderful environment, and the recitation.. the qira'at.... incredible.
There's also a separate ladies prayer area within the Masjid.
Truly recommended... in fact can't recommend enough.Written October 10, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
