This is an exceptionally well organised event. I was picked up on time from my hotel early morning and drove out to the desert by a very charming, polite driver Ahsan Majeed who entertained us on the way with his Arabic music. It was a very hot day but the vehicle was air conditioned and onsite at the first location there was an air conditioned cabin. There was opportunity to purchase traditional clothing and headwear which many did. Quad biking was on offer. We then went dune bashing in the desert in a Toyota Land Cruiser, which was exhilarating and most exciting, our driver Ahsan was an expert at this type of off road driving and it felt safe. We then went to the Al Khayman camp where we went camel riding. The animals are well look after and there were photo opportunities. Our driver Ahsan stayed with us the whole time and was very helpful. He was kind in helping me as he recognised that I have some slight mobility issues.. We went into the Bedouin camp which is set around a circle, there was opportunity for star gazing, henna hand painting and meeting a falcon. The evening's entertainment included traditional dance, fire performances and fire eating as well as belly dancing. A highly recommended restaurant prepared a banquet of food with range of dishes suitable for all tastes and dietary requirements. The food was delicious. Cold drinks were provided at every table. Ahsan returned us safely to the hotel. He was a most excellent driver, guide and companion for the day. If you're visiting Dubai this is one activity it is essential to experience. It worth going to Dubai just to do this. I will be returning to Dubai and will book this trip again with the same company as our driver Ahsan was excellent and trip was expertly organised and very safe. I hope to have the same driver again. We really did have a special day which we will remember forever. Cant wait to do it again.
