We chose the same tour with Mr Pingpong that we did two years ago. Everything was excellent, Pingpong is a perfect guide, he gave us very clear and detailed explanations, he answered all our questions with great professionalism. The Manifa company also offered us beer, coke, tea and banana chips. Very attentive to their customers. I recommend this beautiful tour to everyone, it is an absolute guarantee.

Good guide and driver, and a comfortable minivan. We had plenty of time at the waterfall and it was interesting to visit the Hmong village. Very good value.

Fun times. So much to do and learn. We got to plough the field with a water buffalo, cut off rice stalks, etc. There were a little disorganised getting going and it might have been just a smidge long for our kids (or maybe they were just tired) but those are minor quibbles. There's a lot you can learn and it's really hands-on.

    No Tours/No crowds.
No elephant rides/No elephant shows/no chains.

It's a relaxing interaction with elephants.
You get a basket of bananas at the door.
If you get all the baskets, you're not gonna get them.
Fall in love with elephants after getting up close.
    Really smart and spiritual.

    It's big and beautiful.
I won't be bored here all afternoon.

The cascading turquoise waters create a stunning visual spectacle, surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The natural swimming holes at various levels offer refreshing respites, each with its unique charm. We found the facilities well-maintained and the walking trails accessible. The multi-tiered waterfall system provides numerous vantage points for photography enthusiasts.

I had a wonderful horseback ride at Namkhan horse stable ! The experience was incredible and really diverse, we even rode to the river and explore the forest near Luang Prabang. I 100% recommend it. The team is super attentive and friendly.

We had the most wonderful private tour with Mr Than, he was a lovely knowledgeable guide, with a great sense of humour & gave us some unique opportunities to interact with some of the local Laos people which were an absolute highlight.

A scenic 2 hour private boat ride down the Mekong to the caves, followed by a gorgeous lunch on the opposite side of the river, with a beautiful view & wonderful local scarves & souvenirs being sold. We then headed to the Whisky village and sat & drank whisky & beer lao with the villagers, truly such a special & memorable experience.

The drive on to the waterfalls was long, but they are some of the most beautiful waterfalls we have seen and finally, we stopped at a Hmong village of the way back. If you have more time than we did in Luang Prabang, you may want to split the 2 trips.

We booked through Viator but would thoroughly recommend who they leveraged locally & most definitely, Mr Than, if you are lucky enough to get him as your guide (or even request him).

We had a great day with our guide Vone. He explained a lot about the Lao culture and differences between ethnic groups that live in the villages we passed by. Vone knows his plants and herbs and could tell us all about the local plants and what they are used for in traditional herbal medicine.
The trek was a nice challenge, with beautiful views on the rice fields and the limestone mountains.
The Tad Sae waterfalls were stunning and the cooling splash we had in it was perfect.

It was an interesting event but a little different than I expected. We motored upstream for about a half hour and then floated back down to where we started. There were a lot of boats doing the same thing but it wasn't crowded at all.

The sunset was beautiful as described and I met some really wonderful people on the cruise, with the captain being one of them.

All of the boats have diesel engines in them which vibrate a lot and are a little noisy. It didn't take me long to figure out that going to the front of the boat and away from the engine made it much more enjoyable.
