- Coryy20Port of Spain, Trinidad6,357 contributionsBefore visiting LvivI did lots of research before even thinking of entering there in 2024, when all we see on television is that there's a war in ukraine. But with my last visit to Azerbaijan and Armenia I met many people who will either on vacation from Lviv or returning to University. Then I decided to do some more research and found that it was safe enough to visit. When I arrived by bus from Poland (no planes are flying there), I realised it was business as usual in the city and it was hardly touched by the war. So I was happy to visit and I truly love all of it. The people were pleasan, all businesses were opened, and Old Town was busy with trams and public transport everything was normal except the fact that there was a 12:00 midnight curfew and some of the statues in Old Town were covered up to prevent any damage in case of any bombings. Old Town was alive. All businesses were open and few visitors and locals were going ahout their business as any other day. .Old town is beautiful.. I love the cobblestone streets. Even though it was still winter and the weather was bit gloomy, I truly loved walking around Old Town and most of all the. shopping. I loved the excitement of the city.Written July 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Coryy20Port of Spain, Trinidad6,357 contributionsRynok Square also known as Market square is quite a lively square. Even now that they have removed the LVIV sign ...that i went specifically to see..due to the war in Ukraine. Additionally one of the a prominent statues was also covered with sand bags and cloaked for protection and preservation until after the war. I found it still lively. Many people were hanging around this square just relaxing on the benches or in one of the many shops or cafes nearby. I am sure before the war this square was filled with visitors. However, it was just right for me because I do not like crowded areas.Written July 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Coryy20Port of Spain, Trinidad6,357 contributionsThe Opera House is located in the heart of the historical center, Lviv on Svobody Avenue. It is one of the most beautiful and magnificent opera houses in Europe. It isa symbol of beauty and artistic architecture in the city center. It was about to close at 5pm the day I went inside to pay for a tour of it, so I did not get to see its magnificent interior. Surrounding this Opera House are many restaurants and fast food outlets and the square in from it is always filled with people just enjoying the scenery . Many street performer can be seen there also. Its a lovely place to be.Written July 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Coryy20Port of Spain, Trinidad6,357 contributionsTo enter the House of Scientists in Lviv,, it costs 1 euro. This goegeous building in Ukraine was built in 1898. It features an oak staircase with carved railings and crystal chandeliers. In the past, it was a private club for the wealthy aristocrats, and known as the Noble Casino. It was the scene for the movies "D'Artagnan" and "The Three Musketeers". It is a popular spot for photo shoots, esp. newly weds. In fact on the day I visited, I was asked nicely to finish ip my tour because the bride and entourage was arriving for a photo shoot. I was happy to oblige. It is truly a magnificent place. I will highly recommend a visit to all visitors.Written July 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Coryy20Port of Spain, Trinidad6,357 contributionsThe city Hall stands proudly near Rynok Square and is the most stand out building there. The day I visited, I was unable to pay to climb the tower to view the city. That was because they were allowing visitors on that day, only three times a week. Maybe this was the norm or due to the war. However, i was able to purchase souvenirs at the shop from a most pleasant lady at the counter. Other than this, I had to just admire the building from outside. I however was able to get beautiful views of the city from the roof top of the Vernisagge Mall not too far from there.Written July 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HannaMilan, Italy1 contributionA great sightseeing experience in English with a friendly city guide: we have seen the architectural masterpieces of the city (even spotted pineapples on the roofs of some buildings), discovered Jewish and Armenian neighbourhood in the historical centre and had a great coffee with local sweet cheese pastry - syrnyk.
The guide Ulyana was cheerful and friendly, eager to answer all of our questions.

The staff was friendly and had shown great professionalism and ease to deal with from the first moment of contact and inquiry until drop off back to the hotel. The pilot was extremely skilled during take off and landing. We did the flight with the dawn; watching the sunrise above the fog as it rolled in was unforgettable moments. We flew high over the castle, descended and almost touched the lake surface and passed over the sunflower field. It was awesome. Definitely I state high recommendation for this company as it’s the best.
Thank you so much indeed Nataliya, Sergiy and Vadim.Written September 13, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
