For sure, you need good hiking shoes, because some interceptions of the mostly steep trails were rocky and slightly slippery and: you will master 800 meters of altitude difference. There were breaks during the ascent and descent. These were very useful to calm the pulse. But the hiking tour to Mount Pikuy is not only a challenge for your physical fitness. It is also a great chance to take gorgeous photos of the panorama views from the top of Mount Pikuy and the ridge. And it is quite probable that you meet other hikers. Valentyn, the tour guide, was were attentive and offered delicious Ukrainian sausages and vegetables for lunch at Mount Pikuy. We started at 8 a.m. and were back at 8 p.m. It takes about 2,5 hrs from Lviv to Bilasovytsya, the starting point of the ascent. Be aware of possibly strong winds around Mount Pikuy.
