This cemetery is actually a museum full of beautiful tombstones and remains of beautiful historic figures from Ukrainian History.
Lychakiv Cemetery has many famous Ukrainian and Polish grave sites, starting near the entrance with Ivan Franko, one of the most famous Ukrainian poets.

Unexpectadly found this museum and spent all the day walking there, old-ladies-supervisors tell amazing stories about their youth and they make museum houses look like real cosy houses:) cats, dogs, ducks, horses...
... are collected. It is a pleasure to spend there almost whole day strolling around the large area into the forest and watching the wooden authentic wooden churches, village houses and other wooden building.

The self guided tour had some good displays on history of beer and also specifically Lviv brewery...the tasting is reasonably priced for four beers on tap...good explanations in English...worth a stop if you love...
After a pleasant and interesting stroll, we enjoyed the degustation collections at about £1.70 for 4 x 125ml beers (hubbie tried both!) and kids loved the pear-ade, crisps and free wifi.

The Arsenal Museum has a fantastic collection of arms and armour covering centuries of history, mostly regional.
The Arsenal Museum is a great place to visit to get an understanding of Lviv's history.

This is a really nice working pharmacy with a historical museum section as well -- if you're in town and walking by, it's worth a stop, especially if you need to go to a pharmacy anyway.
There're so many pharmacy historical memorabilia items on display to look at, it's sometimes hard to remember that it's a "real pharmacy" too.

I'd recommend English-speaking visitors to call ahead to the museum and book an English-language tour of the ground floor: it is free and is really helpful.
This museum is one of the places that we must keep visiting and we must keep preserving to remember the past and to learn from it.

I can certainly enjoy my time there enjoying different genres of sculptures, paintings, watercolour drawings, as well as statues...it's great
The museum is rather small, works are often represented abroad but if you are in Lviv and the exposition is on, you should definitely catch this opportunity.

Very pleasant staff who kindly put the lights on in various rooms so that the exhibits can be enjoyed fully.
The museum is Ok, but the building is something outstanding with all original interiors.

This gallery provides a really big collection of paintings from all over Europe, the interiours as well represent the real interiors of the late 18th - mid 19th century.
But the paintings were stunning, lots of portraits.

There is a small museum shop as well and it's possible to buy very good quality glass souvenirs which are made by local artists (my sister bought 2 nice birds).
However, inside you will discover an amazing world of different statues and souvenirs from the glass.

There was a large collection of paintings by one mid 20th century painter (forgot his name) around the staircase gallery.
If you have some free hours, please, come to this Museum!
