Typical Armenian Church. If you like religious tourism then this is a good place to visit. There is no entry fee.

It was built by Roman Catholics, it was a Roman Catholic Church for a long time, but now it is a Greek Catholic Church, with new ukrainian language signs inside.

I believe this is the only Russian church we could find, not sure of the names since I cannot read the signs. We were looking for a Russian church for my friend who wanted me to purchase an icon for her tough times. We found this one just outside of the town and went into the shop and got our icon and went on our way. No English was spoken and being American, they didn't even atempt.

It is situated in the heart of Lviv, close to Opera and Mickiewicz monument. Very nice fountain when you can relax yourself. There are a lot of benches.

Former Romam Catholic Church now used by Greek Catholic Studite monks. I attended services here on Christmas when I was in Lviv and really liked church interior, chants and service. Lvivians seem to come here often to say a prayer or light a candle. Nearby at monastery countryard there is shop where you can buy icons, candles, incense and souvenirs.

When paid the proper respect it deserves, the site functions well as a memorial.Take the time to read the 21 inscriptions on the 39 stone slabs.
Photographer and writer Jason Francisco has written extensively on the site and has some impressive before and after images. Definitely worth a read.
Apparently a second stage of development will be under way soon. Sadly, antisemitism and a lack of respect for the site still exist. That did not lesson the significance of it for me as a place of remembrance. Hopefully, in time, the memorial will continue to evolve and be given the respect it deserves.
