We went on our second day of our visit and it gave us a great basis to appreciate the history and beauty of this magnificent city. Branco is extremely knowledgeable and was able to include much of his personal experiences in context with recent history. He will also keep you laughing with his keen wit and understanding of human nature. But this meant we were well on our way and had no issues at the border.
As it’s a minibus (as opposed to the larger coach tours), we arrived early at the Kravice Waterfalls…perfect; it was quiet (approx 20 people there) and we almost had the view to ourselves. Bruno was more than happy to accommodate the group’s timings and we had plenty of time in Mostar too. Though this was very busy, Bruno gave food recommendations and tips to avoid certain tourist traps.
Yes, it’s a long day (arrived back at our hotel around 5pm), but well worth paying the little extra for this smaller tour. We combined our tour with 3 others, and were pleasantly surprised to see the familiar faces of other Americans we’d run into the day before. My 8-year-old loved the tour, as did we. Kotor was the most surprising of our trip. If you’re hungry, eat in Bosnia. The food is the cheapest and best. Specifically, the cevapi. We throroughly enjoyed our trip, learning about the history, all of the border crossings and knowledge from Josip. It was great! - Steven C1 contributionUnfortunately, due to high winds, the cruise ship I was on was unable to dock in Dubrovnik :( we were disappointed and I expected that we would lose the tour money. When contacted, without even asking, a complete refund was offered.
