I've only had limited experience with wheel pottery, but she was very patient and helpful, explaining the various steps, giving me pointers, and helping me create beautiful finished products. I got to choose exactly what I wanted to make, and I made a variety of items : a candle-holder thrown on the wheel, a sculpted bird, and a flat bird ornament that I cut out and decorated. She was generous with her time and even provided tea, cake, and tips about the city! All of this, and the price was highly reasonable. I would happily go back again and would highly recommend the classes. - Yvette BAndover, MA689 contributionsHaving been in Dubrovnik for a few days I was wandering the streets kinda looking for a coral bracelet but the ones I’ve seen are either too blah or too expensive. I popped into this shop just to peek not planning to buy and found one a little different that I liked and was reasonably priced. Unfortunately it was too big but not to worry, one of the owners sized it while I waited 5 min. The painting session lasted two hours, during which we socialized, enjoyed refreshing juices, and snacked on various pies, cheeses and prosciutto. Our instructor, Ivana, gave individual attention to each participant. - Lauren OBrandywine13 contributionsI was so happy I booked this tour. Do not let the cost make you hesitate. From my first contact with them until the day after the tour when they delivered our olive oil bubble wrapped to us to our hotel the next morning, I knew I dealing with an amazing family. We had a group of 8, and they picked us up at our hotel at 5:00, and we headed to their grove. It was interesting to get away from the hustle bustle of Old Town, even though it was only 15 minutes outside of town. We sampled some grappa, wine, homemade fruit waters, nuts, and fresh figs from their trees while hearing some of the history of the farm. We then walked thru the olive grove to learn all about the process of growing, harvesting, and producing the award winning oil. We then sat among the trees and sampled 3 different oils. Much like wine tastings, I learned how to properly taste oils. First, freshly baked bread was brought out to help us enjoy the delicious oils, and then three enormous trays of cheeses, meats, eggs, fruit, nuts, olives, and more bread arrived. We sat with the family while we talked of oils and life at the olive grove. We all bought bottles of oil, and they took us back to our hotel full of knowledge and food. Our group couldn't stop talking about what an amazing experience it was and couldn't wait to get home to get rid of any EVO we had in our pantry. Support locals and take this tour. - Keturah N4 contributionsWe (family of four)spent 5 days with Marino from Split to Dubrovnik. Marino created a personalized itinerary for us and took care of absolutely everything. The experiences he has curated are so unique and not anything you will be able to book on your own. It feels like you are visiting a friend who is showing you all the special things about where they live. Marino also took us to incredible meals that showcased the specialities of the areas. He would order and then a delicious feast would appear. It was so nice to not have to worry about booking anything or where to eat and get experiences that highlight the true culture of the country. Self guided tour is great option, can choose the time and agree with Sanja easily. I was in group of 3 people, we all loved it!
