Casa del Jade
#1 of 54 Shopping in Antigua
I have been shopping at Casa del Jade for my wife and daughter's presents for many years.
Given that good experience, it's also where we shopped for a beautiful multi-colored jade necklace that I wear frequently, and receive many compliments on.

Street market
#6 of 54 Shopping in Antigua
Had a marvelous time shopping in the street market, and "haggling" with the vendors.
Once you have explored the craft market go into the locals market next door, where you can easily get lost in the winding rows of shops from homewares to fish to shoes and jewelry!

Also this shop aids Mayan women from small villages distribute their fine textiles so your purchase helps these women continue their craft.
The women in the shop know very little English but were still easy to communicate with and you can tell they really take pride in the collection.
