- FraelfiMilan, Italy41 contributionsVery beautiful place, good food, animals welcome. Nonethless, it would be a wonderful thing if Macedonia takes more care of poor stray dogs.Written December 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barbs25Staffordshire, UK3,948 contributionsNice square with a gigantic monument in the middle of Alexander the Great. Nice views over the bridge to the old bazaar and mountains in the background too. Really nice city, offered a lot more than I expected and highly recommend doing the 'Free Skopje Walking Tour' to make the most of the place and its historyWritten October 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jasmin SchubertManila, Philippines35 contributionsThe cross was very impressive, but it looks nicer from afar ;)
However the view from the mountain is spectacular. We took the cable cart (5-10min each way). Beware of the opening times: it was not open on election day, it only operates the first 30min of the full hour and takes a break around 12-2pm (before you get in line, there is a sign with further information). If you come by car, be aware that you have to pay for the parking spot (via SMS or online, there are instructions on a sign.) Took us around 1 hour from the parking spot and back again, as the weather was a bit rainy and we did not want to stay long. But there are small shops and places to sit if you want to enjoy the summit a bit longer.Written May 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
