- teriyakissIstanbul, Türkiye445 contributionsSkadarlija is a neighborhood that embodies the bohemian spirit of Belgrade. Famous for its historical texture and cobblestone streets, Skadarlija is the heart of Belgrade’s art and entertainment scene. It has inspired many artists, writers and musicians.
Taking a walk in Skadarlija is like taking a nostalgic journey. Colorful cafes, restaurants and streets full of music await you. Moreover, you may also have the chance to taste traditional Serbian cuisine @velika.skadarlija 💃🏼
Street cats in Serbia are an integral part of the city. You are likely to encounter these cute friends in areas like Skadarlija. They are usually fed and cared for by locals, and many restaurants and cafes even provide them with food. In Skadarlija, it is common to see street cats roaming freely and adding color to the environment😻😍

- Brian LChicago, IL556 contributionsI stepped inside soon after the start of their opening hours. I'm not sure if they weren't expecting visitors or changing something around or what, but they seemed a bit surprised by my wanting to look around. I think there was one other guy in front of me, but they just told me it was fine if I wanted to look around. I didn't have to pay any entrance fee.
The walk around is short (I didn't get access to the second [first] floor (not sure if that's normal or not)); but it was kind of interesting. It feels a bit sparse. It's a bit hard to imagine that someone would live in a place with such limited furnishings, but I understand that a museum won't include or contain everything from it's original time.
It's nothing particularly special, but the entrance fee (if you have to pay) is very low, so not much harm if you are interested.Written February 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
