It's also a great way to get out of the city center and get a more complete understanding of the city. He knows rakijas and cocktails best! It's much easier to have him showing you all the best that the city can offer than to search on your own. Our guide, Katarina, was very personable (we felt like she was like a family member or close friend!) and answered all our questions about Serbian culture and daily life. We then went to a nearby bakery to sample some traditional baked goods (and bureks) and then visited a pastry shop for some fresh cakes and lemonade. We ended our tour with an 8-course lunch with incredibly creative and delicious representations of the new Balkan cuisine.
