- Wombling_Free_7548Bristol, UK2,138 contributionsThe inside of the monastery is filled with frescoes and is charming. There is also a lovely courtyard behind it. Well worth a visit.Written September 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ElaineHobart, Australia41 contributionsA lovely park to visit and a bonus to find it contained the village which was definitely worth visiting and it had English signs.
The park itself was lovely to stroll through and to see the statues.Written October 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Place was wild. Booked to go again the following year. Unfortunately, there had been some fatalities in a night club and the government cracked down on safety etc and the return visit showed the place had calmed considerably. Of course, people's safety should be paramount, but the legal furore post the tragic nightclub fire seemed to gave impacted on a number of things and the whole place was nowhere near as 'open' or as 'mental' as it had been.
-21 at times, thick snow, but dry and windless. Pick a good 4 or 5 star hotel near to the old town and dress for the arctic. Walked back from nights out at 5 in the morning and felt very safe. Didn't see a single piece of trouble or anything threatening. Definitely worth a visit. Food and drink was crazy cheap.Written September 25, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. As you'd expect, it's full of places to eat and drink, mixed in with shops, and the occasional church or civic building. The streets are mostly cobbled. It's a bit touristy, but very nice all the same.Written May 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Alesia3 contributionsIt's a park—it does park things like grow grass, attract pigeons and other animals, and provide space for people to walk around. Solid space.Written September 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SteviefullKidderminster, UK2,047 contributionsIm not one of those who feels the need to go shopping when on holiday as it seems such a waste but having popped in here to the Museum of Senses I was pleasantly surprised by the whole place in particular the food hall with a play area for kids.
A modern, clean well equipped shopping centre, if thats your kind of thing.Written October 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We spent a couple of hours wandering around this shopping centre, Huge selection of shops and places to eat. Everything is just so much cheaper in Romania, stopped off at McDonalds for lunch and was shocked that both our meals came to less than £10!
Definitely recommend visiting this place if you have a bit of time to kill before a flight. The Uber back to the airport wasn’t even a fiver if I remember correctly.Written February 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The place was deserted on the Friday morning in December when we visited. There are other buildings to see such as the Palace, a small shrine and even a little gift shop.
The internal of the Cathedral is pretty impressive, with as expected gold fittings everywhere and lots of extravagance. The painted ceiling up into the domed roof is worth a visit alone.
You won't spend a long time here but it is worth taking time to have a look around.Written August 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Deya YVarna, Bulgaria27 contributionsReally nice mall with lots of shops and restaurants. The design is also really nice but the best part for us was the outside. It's located in a park with a lake - really nice for walks.Written October 13, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
