Bus ride was on time and very comfortable
Peles castle visit was rushed and crowded because many tour groups were there. I would have liked to visit the castle for a longer time without t so much crowding to appreciate the history. Brasov visit was relaxed with plenty of time to walk around the old town area.
Dracula Castle was crowded but very interesting. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and well organized.

Booking this Coach tour was an excellent idea. Trying to do it by train is much harder and much less convenient.
Our tour guide Narcis was great, knowledgeable and charismatic. We visited Peles castle first and got a good show around and some interesting facts about its history. What a stunning place.

Bran castle ( the reason we booked ) is as cynical a tourist trap as you'll ever find and clearly has as much to do with Dracula as does a jar of Nutella. You can find a Dracula Burger and drink in the pub where Dracula got drunk and buy Dracula fridge magnets etc. I can't think of a single good thing to say about the, ahem, "castle" itself. Bram Stocker it ain't!

We then went to Brasov city which was sooo pretty and then we had a lovely scenic journey back. It was a great day and I'm really glad that we did it. Thanks guys! :-)

Unfortunately our pre-booked tour ended up being a very rainy day however, despite the soaking, it is a day tour not to be missed. Substantial walking is involved, more than half of it over difficult and somewhat steep paths - worst being the one leading to Bran castle - especially since it was wet and path consisted of slippery and uneven cobbled design. However, once you arrive you immediately forget the 'strain' and appreciate the views and ingenuity of those building these two castles - especially the Bran / Dracula, one. weather being what it was and since we travelled over several stretches of high ground, the clouds were literally alongside / underneath us - making the views even more breath-taking. Following the castle visits we enjoyed some more sightseeing and leisure break at Brasov - also worth the visit. Like I said, a tour worth fitting in your itinerary.

We had an lovely experience on the walking tour of Bucharest! The guide was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories about the city’s rich history, from its medieval past to the Communist era. Highlights included the stunning Romanian Athenaeum, the imposing Palace of the Parliament, and the vibrant Old Town. The blend of architectural styles and cultural landmarks made the walk visually captivating. The pace was perfect, allowing us to take in the sights without feeling rushed. I highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting a deeper connection to Bucharest’s history and culture. Truly a memorable experience!

This was such an amazing day. Sebastian was a fantastic tour guide and the whole experience was awesome. We saw around 20 bears in total and got some great photos. It is a long, tiring day but completely worth it.

Really special tour with an expert guide who loved the experience of Communism, and also pursued primary research herself to add detail and texture to history. Essential basis for understanding the country.

Well done. The guide was a true local and was able to contextualize all that we saw, ate and drank. Wonderful discussions and Q & A. Delicious food and drink.

Thanks Christian for the amazing tour. We had a lovely time and learned a lot about the country.
Christian is an excellent tour guide and driver. We had enough time to see the castles and villages.

My original review (16 Aug 2024):
    The worst tour ever!
Everything went wrong with this tour. A few ours after the reservation (which guaranteed real time feedback on availability) the booking was cancelled and postponed two days.
When finally we had the trip, we spent more than 3 h just to cross the border. Of course it is not the fault of the tour operator that the bridge is under repair, but while the bridge is being repaired it does not make sense to offer such tours. It took us 5 h to reach the first site (monastery on the rock). The worst element was the tour guide (Carmen). She definitely has no capability to be a tour guide. She didn't provide any useful information. During the 12 h tour, may be she spoke for 15 min. The tour was supposed to include a nice village near Veliko Turnovo but we just passed by at high speed without stopping. Then at Veliko she told us a few sentences at the entrance of the fortress and left! Why do you need such "guide"?
The driving was very unsafe (but the driver apologized when we called his attention). On the contrary, the "guide" was arrogant. Obviously she does not like her job. So, never take this or any other tour with Carmen.
We had other wonderful tours from Bucharest with other companies and great guides. This one destroyed our day. Being 9 h (out of 12) inside a minivan (without any information from the guide) was not pleasant at all!!!!

    24 Aug 2024:
After this review and my direct complaint, the company Eastern European Experience and the platform GetYourGuide apologized for the bad experience, promising to take measures. They also took the initiative to refund the cost of the tour (received today). This is appreciated as a positive gesture to fix the situation and a sign that they care about customers.
While initially I classified them as 1 star (Terrible), for this gesture I could classify 5 star (thus 3 in average).

10/10 would recommend to anyone who wants to explore the Romanian authentic wines and countryside. I’ve booked this trip for my future inlaws as I wanted to get some nice quiet time with my fiancee. They’re from the UK and needless to say very hard to please but they were over the top excited with Andrei. And not just cause he got my father in law drunk! Highly recommend!!!!

Radu was an excellent and very knowledgeable host throughout. The salt mine is stunning, absolutely worth visiting, but don't bother with the planetarium inside, really poor graphics in Super Volcanoes. The restaurant stop gives lovely views, the house wines are really good, red and white. Quite expensive at first glance but there are cheaper options which were delicious. Vlad's grave may or may not be his but a lovely spot.

This is a great and affordable alternative trip to go on, especially in case you have pretty much done everything else in/around Bucharest. Ioana was a great guide and very patient indeed, as we had a late start but they were kind enough to drop us back as close as possible to our final destination. The places we visited are very interesting. All in all a well worth it trip!

Absolutely LOVED Constanta. It's a beautiful, small seaside town full of fascinating history. We enjoyed everything: ancient Greek and Roman archeological sites, chilling on the beach, walking along the promenade, and touring the historic cathedral and mosque.
