This was my first holiday to Croatia ,we chose the capital Zagreb for a short four day holiday and after a quick flight from the United Kingdom we decided to use the city's public transport system to get into the city centre and jumped ZET Bus Number 290 as our means of transport and I must say it's very good.
The bus stop is located across the road from the airport ,busses run every 30 minutes, cost of ride is 90 cents ,journey takes 30 minutes ,bus was modern ,clean and not too full ,lots of room for your bags ,end of stop is main bus station more or less in city centre ,from here we were only a 10 minute easy walk to our hotel ,if you're planning a holiday to this vibrant city I definitely think using the public transport is a great option especially ZET Bus Number 290.

The Airport - Zagreb Bus is now number 290 and is one of the best transfers you can get to this most eclectic of city's .
Costs about €1 a trip ,how good is that ,transfer too and from airport is about 20 to 25 minutes ,stress free,no rip off taxi's ,it's a great way to go from or to this city or airport.
Well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Zagreb.

We were lucky we only came in through the bus station. It wasn't the nicest or cleanest bus station we had been through.
It was a very confusing place and it seemed like buses where everywhere. There wasn't discernable platforms that I could see.
We came in on the bus from the airport after dropping the hire car off.
It was a hive of activity in and around the area but it didn't seem to be in the nicest of areas. We walked from the bus station to the hotel as it was only a kilometer away and we couldn't find how to buy a transit ticket from the station.
A lot of tourists use this place so just do your research before heading there.

Absilutely horrible. It was a 34 degree C day and there was no ventilation, air conditioning or fan of any sort. The bus was very hot , suffocating and unpleasant for a four hour ride.

Not only was it extremely hot inside the bus, it was also over an hour late to pick up passengers from the departure station and there was no communication between the company and the passengers.

    Never again.
