It was a great day with our Bulgarian side guide Lubo and Skopje local guide Alena. We traveled in a group of 5 and had a fun day walking Skopje and talking to the guides. Both guides had answers to all of our questions and the drive was safe and comfortable.

We joyned the daily tour to Rila's Monastery and Boyana's church which are both Stunning. We loved our guide Yanis, he always cared about the group, explaining all the history about these 2 Bulgarian's landmark, with passion. Lunch place was good, traditional, driver was nice and safe. We reccomend the tour and the guide without doubt. Thank you!

I recently went to the tour to the Rila Monastery and the Church of Boyana, and it was truly delightful and engaging. Our guide, Filip, was incredibly knowledgeable and made the entire experience fascinating. Overall, a highly recommended tour for anyone interested in exploring Bulgaria's cultural treasures.

It was a perfect tour. Ventsislav is a very good guide and he also was very helpfull. We went first to Bashkovo, then to the fortress and finally we had plenty of time in Plovdiv before returning to Sofia. Thanks!

We were only two people on the trip so we had lots of time to talk and get information about the region and the city. Our guide Billi was very nice and knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We had a great day (even though the stations of the tour are quite serious). The Mediana is a really interesting place to visit.

The tour guide Asen was amazing. Very knowledgeable, interesting and fun. Would thoroughly recommend a small group tour (there were 8 of us).

This was the second day in a row my friends and i spent with Ventsislav — we enjoyed our trip to Belogradchik with him so much that we canceled our planned tour of Rila and booked a private one with him (thanks again for accommodating that)!

This day was seriously something else. Just about as much fun as possible.

Worth noting, this is a physically demanding hike! Primarily in that it has lots of stairs/steep uphill, and then on the descent you’ve got lots of steep downhill. Ventsislav is super happy to go at whatever speed you want, and to take as many breaks as you’d like. We saw people of all ages and fitness levels able to reach the top, and there are tons of views worth stopping at along the way. That being said, wear something athletic including good running shoes, or if you have them, hiking boots. I went in my running shoes and was totally fine, but the primary reason I’d suggest hiking boots is because there are many areas where you need to walk on sort of loose rocks so a little ankle support can’t hurt. Also bring a hat for the sun and a light sweater for misty wind at the top (we went in August).

    * also worth noting, Ventsislav carries an extra set of walking poles so if someone is worried about instability, definitely ask him ahead of time about borrowing those :)

The monetary itself was spectacular. As with everything, Ventsislav had tons of cool information to share with us and was happy to answer any and all questions. He’s an extremely experienced, kind, and friendly tour guide, and has a great sense of humor and disposition. 11/10! Thanks again!

Great Location and tour guide gave lots of good information. Don't pay extra for the audioguide or the guide, the tour guide provided the same guided tour to everyone.

    Well…wow! 10/10
Detailed instructions to make collection and planning simple, prompt pick up in a spacious and clean vehicle with a wonderful and extremely knowledgeable guide!

Beautiful scenery, breathtaking and our guide was a mine of knowledge about the watefall, caves and fortress in addition to all things Bulgarian and Balkan - we discussed nature, history, religion and everything inbetween and there wasn’t a question she hesitated on!

Lunch was great and all the recommended dishes were authentic and delicious, just the right amount of rest in between the tours.

I had picked up a running injury prior to arriving in Sofia and I was worried I would slow the group or struggle on some terraine but I was very well looked after and didn’t struggle at all, mainly because of our guides kindness and not making me feel like I was slowing down the tour!

Will always be grateful for your knowledge and kindness, thank you!

Our guide, Georgi, was so nice and really knowledgeable. The whole day was great fun and very enjoyable. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it as a full day excursion (we left at 8.30am and returned to Sofia at 8.30pm).

Pavlina gave a great tour and provided so much historical context for the sites we were seeing. I have had the good fortune to take tours in a number of other international cities and this one rates among the very best. She made it personal and relatable - helping you to understand the thinking of the people at the time of all of these historic changes within Bulgaria. I highly recommend Easy Bulgaria Travel!

Great trip. Very long day. Some travellers made us over an hour late to get to city so we were quite rushed and limited for the tour there. Our border crossing was on the average side-- this can also affect your arrival times --we were lucky. The local guide in Skopje did his best with the shortened time he had. We did take ample time for a quaint sit down lunch. Phillip, the main guide, was a safe driver, helpful, knowledgeable and talkative. We even stopped quickly to see a famous monastery on our return trip. Experienced a beautiful sunset there! I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Hindsight -- I would have loved to spend two days in Skopje and maybe see the nearby lakes. Next time!

The highlight of our Bulgaria trip! We were worried about whether the experience would be worth it considering it is about 3h30 drive from Sofia (so 7h both ways), but it was absolutely incredible. The rocks/fortress are incredible but the best part is the view at the top of them, simply breathtaking! Pictures don't do it justice at all.

Our driver and guide Ventsislav was so great and accommodating, as well as knowledgeable. He knew a lot about the rocks, fortress and the good spots for pictures or interesting facts. The experience also felt very private in a way as you share it with a group of 5-7 people, so that's an added bonus.

We ended up visiting the Magura cave as the Venetsa Cave was closed, and it was very impressive and enjoyable. Absolutely no negatives about the day overall and well worth the time and money.

    10/10, absolutely recommend and a must-do!
