What travelers are saying
- Rachel NUSA145 contributionsBunk'Art was a highlight of our trip to Tirana. Just getting there was an adventure. I loved that visitors are just left to wander the space on their own - it felt like a process of discovery. I learned a ton and would say this is a must-see for anyone visiting Tirana.Written July 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ananya GAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates512 contributionsVisited BunkArt2 located in City Centre, a short walk from Skanderbeg square. It is a well preserved communist era nuclear protection bunker. It is worth a visit when visiting Tirana to understand how Communist Era police persecuted the regime's opponents.Written August 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ananya GAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates512 contributionsWe enjoyed our return trip to Dajti mountains (Balkony Dajti, a restaurant) by the 17-18 min one way cable car ride during rain during our recent visit to Albania. The cable car ride is quite steep, taking you all the way up the mountain top which offers magnificent views of the city. There are also entertainment opportunities available once you disembark at the upper station of the Dajti cable car such as horse riding, children park, mini Golf. There is a hotel & restaurant also at the top. The return fare was around 1200 Leks per person which is a bit costly.Written August 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ludorIasi, Romania2,838 contributionsHuge and impressive square, the heart of Tirana. There are some interesting buildings around it, some construction sites and some poorly maintained areas. During a hot summer day it's virtually empty but it became very alive in the evening.Written July 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ananya GAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates512 contributionsThis is a large area of green space located a little away from the city centre, about 20-25 minutes walk from the Skanderbeg square. The biggest park in Tirana is huge to explore with plenty of entertainment facilities available and also houses cafes / restaurants, churches, ampitheatre, water sports etc. The highlight of our tour was riding the toy train called "City Train Albania" which covered circling the entire park in an entertaining 30 minutes ride.Written August 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Claudia DKoenigstein, Germany153 contributionsIt is in interesting museum, since it provides a lot of details on the Albanian secret service activities during communism time. However, they show lots of "instruments" and often the explanations are quite long. A little bit less would be more... Nonetheless, the museum is worth to visit.Written July 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ulf J10 contributionsLike many other national history museums, this one is very patriotic. Besides from that, it is informative. The history shown is mainly poltical leaders and warriors. It shows very little of the life of ordinary people.Written June 10, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PearlTravelAlexandria, Egypt317 contributionsThe church is very modern with an imitated Christian Iconography dotting the Altar and the ceiling. Worth a visit.Written July 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Deetee100London, UK1,642 contributionsModern take on the bazaar of former times, this sanitised version of the bazaar is very nicely presented and full of colourful fruit, vegetables and Albanian souvenirs. The whole area has been renovated and there are some nice cafes and bars there too.Written June 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ludorIasi, Romania2,838 contributionsAn impressive statue guarding the Skanderbeg square. It gives an idea about how important this historical figure is for Albania.Written July 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Film GNew England857 contributionsThere are no masterpieces here, but lots of better-then-OK local pieces and socialist realist items. There are no descriptors of the pieces on display (OK, a few, in Albanian) and you will see entire walls covered with paintings, or shelves full of statues. Has a warehouse feel. Needs a curator and some money.Written August 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Orges SinjariTirana, Albania61 contributionsIs one of the oldest and historical buildings in Tirana ,but under construction to renew it. - digestives5 contributionsPretty generic shopping mall, but a sleek design and deceptively well-hidden in the city. Decent variety in terms of shops and there's a supermarket on the lowest floor (as well as a corner full of a variety of different cash machines/ATMs). The food court at the top is very average though, but there is a cool, large playing area for young children. You'd be better off enjoying a street café somewhere for food/drink but it's nice enough inside, very modern, free (stylish) toilets. There's also some really nice views of the mountains from some of the windows.Written July 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - The World is My OysterOrlando, FL19,433 contributionsWe truly enjoyed wondering around this quaint little buzzing street. There was so many cute little shops, and some nice artworks around. Really nice place to just chill and people watch.Written September 13, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ludorIasi, Romania2,838 contributionsNot much to see during my visit, as the pyramid is under construction. Hopefully, these will be completed soon, it seems an interesting place to visit.Written July 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
