- dan c3 contributionsFrom pick up meeting point to drop off our tour guide Franklin did an amazing job. The tour is well organized to the point that we didn’t feel rushed with all the stops we did. Franklin shared a little bit of history and different kinds of bird species you can find in the country. If you decide to do the buggy tour, you should do the 2hrs(it’s worth it). - TrevinoSan Antonio, TX11 contributionsIf you're staying in Lima, this trip is a must. It was such a highlight. It's a lot of bus riding, but you've got chargers on board and you have time to get to know other travelers. I did the 2 day trip that included the Nasca flight. Is it worth it? Really depends on if you want to tick that off the bucket list or not. The islands and Huacachina Oasis are definitely worth it though. Guides did a great job, even when it started raining like it hadn't in a decade!
P.S. buy the face coverings in Huacachina before you take the dune buggy rides. Everything was well-organized, and our guides – Nilo, Roberto, Christian, Raúl, Mónica, Moisés, and Jose Carlos – were absolutely fantastic. They were not only knowledgeable but also super friendly, making everyone feel welcome. Even if you’re traveling solo, you’ll never feel alone!
There were extra options if you wanted to explore more, and the team was always there to help with anything. Most importantly, they prioritized our safety, so we could fully enjoy the experience.

- Sayaka McPhersonCosta Rica71 contributionsThe Paracas & Huacachina Day Tour to Islas Ballestas and sandboarding was absolutely worth the early start in Lima! The itinerary is packed with incredible experiences, starting with a boat tour of the stunning Ballestas Islands, followed by Pisco and wine tasting in Ica, and ending with the thrilling sand dunes and sandboarding adventure at the Huacachina Oasis.
Instead of returning to Lima the same day, we chose to stay overnight at Huacachina, which allowed us to fully enjoy the magical evening at the oasis. We found an amazing restaurant, stayed at a fantastic hotel, and soaked in the unique atmosphere of the desert.

- Stephen M2 contributionsWe did this two day trip from Lima to Paracas, Ballestas Islands, and then stayed overnight in Huacachina, then the following day went to a Pisco vineyard in the morning and back to Lima in the evening.
Sandra was our guide for most of the trip and she did a great job. Our driver Wil got us there on time and the activities that were planned were fun. The boat was a bit crowded for the tour - not to an unsafe level, but it was a bit difficult to see what was being pointed out to us at times due to other people being in the way. Her bus overview when we got to locations and her attitude is so warm.
Also, you really have to do buggy tour in Huacachina!! One the the best experiences I ever did. With the sand boarding also.
