Peru is so much more than the Inca’s!
This lovely museum showcases wonderful art made by the Incas but also by pre-Inca civilizations. Explanations are well done, in Spanish, English and French. Definitely worth a visit!

This was one of the suggestions our guide made for independent activities and it was worth a visit. Make sure you get your ticket at the ticket office on the ground level because they'll want to see it when you get up to the second floor!

There was a lot of good documentation showing Macchu Picchu before it was cleared of overgrowth and put back into use as a tourist stop over 100 years ago. Exhibits also included much material from Inca burial sites and surrounding areas. While most of the information panels included English translations (which I appreciated) they were sometimes abbreviated versions of the Spanish ones.

Gift shop area included local crafts and a woman who was making them as you watched.

    Well worth a visit.

Museum in cusco around the history of civilisations in the area.
Limited information avaliable in english which is disapointing but still interesting to look at the artifacts.
A lot of pottery but worth a visit for the end exhibits - inca skills and skeletons

Jaw dropping architecture. We freely walked around inside the church before the tour. It is just stunning, the immense detail and sheer size is amazing. They were holding mass as we arrived and did not mind at all us walking around, partly bc its so big. The tour then gives you access to the adjascent rooms and corridors. The catacombs were cool too, note that it is very musty down there and with bones of literally thousands of people.

Interesting small museum in Cusco near Plaza de Armas. Has trunks that missionaries used to teach the bible and lots of artwork. Worth an hour or so.
