Just visiting the temple of the sun and seeing the Inca architecture. The paintings were quite interesting too

Interesting small museum in Cusco near Plaza de Armas. Has trunks that missionaries used to teach the bible and lots of artwork. Worth an hour or so.

It was a unique experience to be inside and look at the religious items. The design and artistery were amazing. Not to be missed.

This church looks so ordinary from the outside but step inside and there is the most amazing backdrop to the Altar and a Pulpit carved completely out of one Andean Cedar tree. The sculpture work is unreal. You have to see it as no photos are allowed

I am a sucker for catacombs so that is what drew me here. Having said that, there were many other interesting things to see. Some fabulous old paintings, including an absolutely massive one. An incredible library with ancient volumes. Our tour guide spoke virtually no English, which was pretty limiting but we muddled through. Surprisingly interesting all in all. Wouldn’t make the top of my list but worth a side trip if you have the time. Kind of hard to find, by the way. Google maps shows it right off the big plaza. It is not. It is off the San Francisco Square about 2 blocks away. Had to roam around a bit to find it.

This Inca Fortress is another amazing piece of architecture near Cusco. It is mind boggling how they were able to build this.
