It was an amazing experience! We learned about the ingredients, the food, and the Peruvian culture.
The plates were delicious and the preparation was interesting. If you want to learn and also feel like a professional chef take this course.

We had a wonderful time with Alvaro today. We loved going to the market to shop with him and it was so much fun back at the studio. I ate food I had never tried before and it was all delicious. This tour is worth it! Thanks Alvaro!!!

I loved the workshop. It was really good fun, with lots of laughs, and you get to eat lots of chocolate! The guide, Miguel was really good and entertained us all.

First of all, I’d give this a million stars if I could. Ronal is so knowledgeable and passionate about Peruvian cuisine. He was very flexible to everyone’s diet and preferences with no problem. The food was excellent, the experience was authentic, and I could not be happier with how this went. Thank you so much, Ronal!!

Had a great food tour with Reynaldo -- we had a group of 10, which was larger than their limit of 8 but they accommodated us. Got to see things we would not have done on our own -- the food was delicious and plentiful (we were all over full at the end) and Reynaldo was informative and gracious. 10 is a little large as it was hard for everyone to hear everything, probably better to do in smaller groups. We ate everything from fruit smoothies to saltanas to alpaca burgers and ended in the most charming dessert shop. Very well worth doing!

We booked a tour from Australia via email, communication was amazing and David answered all of our questions easily and in depth. Leading up to our arrival in Peru David and I communicated via whatsapp. It turned out the farms we were supposed to be visiting were no longer available for the tour, which was a little upsetting but within a day David had arranged another type of tour. When we arrived in Cusco David met us at our hotel and talked to us about what we would see and where we would visit. David was flexible with pick up points too and we arranged for the pick up in Ollantaytambo instead of Cusco. Omar was our guide for the tour and we had a driver as well, he was on time to pick us up and the car was very comfortable for our drive to Quillabamba (approximately 4.5 hours through different altitudes, we had altitude sickness tablets which helped). We checked into our hotel and then headed to a co-operative, called Kampaq which processed cacao & coffee beans from local farmers, the visit of the factory was very informative, the manager shared lots of information about the fermentation & roasting process. After this we were taken to a farm in Echarati at the start of the Amazon. Mario was the farmer and he took us around the farm, showing us all of his cacao trees and the different varieties, we tried fresh cacao pulp (which is delicious, a bit of a passion fruit taste), he showed us his citrus and coffee trees as well as his beehives. We then made hot chocolate by roasting cacao beans, then peeling the skin, then grinding into a paste and then adding water and honey to make a liquid. At the end his whole family came out and we drank the hot chocolate all together, it was fantastic. After the tour I was feeling a bit unwell so when we got back to Quillabamba Omar took us to the chemist and helped me buy medicine as I don't speak Spanish, then the 3 of us went out for a very nice dinner together. We would highly recommend the tour, it was definitely a highlight of the time spent in South America. A big thank you from Patrick & Keva

My family of four, including a 5 year old and 13 year old, loved this experience. We sampled various Peruvian fruits, made Pisco sour and Chilcano, and cooked a 2 course meal. Even my 5 year old was able to cook with the chefs assistance. Our ceviche, alpaca, and sides were delicious! Everyone was so nice, informative, and accommodating. As promised, they sent all the recipes via email so we could add Peruvian flavor to our meals at home. Highly recommend!

This experience was fantastic! We walked to the market to purchase produce from local vendors while learning about Cusco. When we returned to ChocoMuseo, we made cerviche, lomo saltado, pisco sours, and had fresh fruit with chocolate for dessert! A night spent laughing and learning. I would highly recommend!

Well I only had the dinner and there was no tour or even museum admission included. The restaurant is separate from the museum apparently.. that being said, dinner was quite lovely. Get the mushroom soup even if you’re not a soup person. I’m not and it’s one of the most amazing things I’ve ever tried. Therefore, 3 stars.

This was a great experience! We happened to have had a private tasting which was nice. Our teacher was clearly passionate and knowledgeable about pisco! It was so interesting to learn. We got to try three kinds of pisco and then make two cocktails!
