    Awesome almost urban hike
    A really unique opportunity to hike at high elevation that is conveniently located at the edge of town. well maintained trail and lots of easy to follow markers. Dress for the weather though and watch out for lighting.

    Spectacular view, great crafts
    We hired a driver for the day to go here and to the middle of the world (both-LOL).

    This was so lovely and peaceful. You could hike down to the valley, but I had no desire to get that winded so early in the day!

    You needed your passport to enter but no fees.

    The craft shops had lots of good deals, and I was told they were from Otavalo. I bought a number of things - necklace, mini-alpaca, alpaca scarf, decorative scarf... my husband says I still spent less than one part for a snowmobile, so we are good!

    If you are already heading out to the middle of the world this is about ten minutes away. Go here first!

    Beautiful!
    Another beautiful volcano at Quito! If you have time, it worth to drive around the volcano and take some nice pictures.
