- RobbieSeesTheWordDenver, CO114 contributionsA really unique opportunity to hike at high elevation that is conveniently located at the edge of town. well maintained trail and lots of easy to follow markers. Dress for the weather though and watch out for lighting.Written January 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Peter RDartford, UK1,361 contributionsNearby to the Equator Museum is the Pululahua volcano crater. From the carpark it is a few hundred yards to a viewing point overlooking the crater, when we went the wind was really strong so we dropped down a pathway to the left of the viewing point and just below the viewpoint and out of the wind we were able to soak up the amazing view, a green valley surrounded by some very imposing mountains. We decided not to do the walk down into the crater as the walk back up would have been a killer. As you leave there is a small shop and remember to tip the parking attendant who works so hard making sure cars are parked properly even when the carpark is empty.Written October 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My family and I enjoyed climbing a sandy terrain. I recommend wearing a sweater.Written June 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
