The 4 of us had a wonderful day with Benedicio! He picked us up promptly at our hotel in Quito and took us to the Quitsato Sundial near Cayambe and the San Pablo Laguna lookout point. We then headed to the beautiful Peguche Waterfall where we took a 20 minute walk to get to the waterfall.
Next, we went to Otavalo and had a great lunch and visited their famous market where he helped us bargain with the locals.
Beni was so knowledgeable, funny, and friendly! Thank you for the great day!

Super excursion. I traveled with Carlos as my guide. He spoke excellent English and was knowledgeable on a broad variety of topics - zoology, botany, geology, political science and history. Because this was an individual tour, we are able to adjust it to areas I was interested in. We visited the Pululahua volcano, an orchid nursery, a butterfly farm, and bird watching sanctuary. During the drive Carlos described various geographic areas we were passing through and kept me entertained; I learned a lot more about Ecuador and its national history. I can highly recommend this tour.

Jorge is a wonderful guide and made our trio amazing. The horseback riding was so peaceful before the tough hike up Cotopaxi.

This is a wonderful private tour for all bird lovers and our guide, Kathy, is a patient and encouraging person for photographers who want time to sit still in silence to capture pictures of the ever elusive hummingbirds. She was also so helpful in identifying the different hummingbird, tananger, and toucan species we were lucky enough to spot. We got so many wonderful pictures and were given plenty of time to do this. This is the best part about this tour is it is fully customizable for what you want to do whether you want to spend the whole day doing photography, taking a hike, or doing zip lining. We wanted to do the zip lining in addition to doing the bird watching. Kathy was a great sport since my curse of zip lining in other countries seems to come with a deluge of rain every time I seem to go. She said it’s always been sunny when she goes (whelp). We had a great lunch and then went to a chocolate factory to learn how chocolate is farmed and made. The drive is also beautiful since you learn so much about the land and can see other things than the city. I highly recommend this very personalized trip.

Fantastic day trip to Mindo, there are more things than you can do there in 1 day, so returning is definitely a must. My private tour started with Eduardo scoping me up at my downtown Quito hotel promptly at the agreed 7:30am time. It a beautiful mountainous drive to Mindo where he shares mush of Ecuador’s history and culture. One of the benefits overall of this tour was Eduardo’s birding, flora n fauna, and local knowledge of the forest and its inhabitants. Once in Mindo you can choose from hummingbird and butterfly farms, hiking, chasing waterfalls, tubing, zip lining, cacao making tour and much more. I opted for hummingbirds, hiking, waterfalls, break for lunch and the cacao tour which made for a perfect day. Cannot say enough good things about this tour, my overall stay in Ecuador and experiencing its generous people and welcoming culture. I will be back!

Daniel is an incredible tour guide! This is so much more than a market tour but a fantastic way to learn about history and the local surrounding communities. Daniel is super knowledgeable and puts a lot of effort into the tour. Should I return to Ecuador I would most definitely use Daniel’s services again. Highly recommended

We booked the Cable Car and Quito Private City Tour (Ecuador Best Tours). This was such a great day to get us familiar with Quito. Our guide, Ximena was terrific! She was so much fun to be with and tailored our tour to meet our interests! We went up the hill to visit the statue of Mary and overlook the city. We explored the market in the old town. Lucky to be there on Sunday when the market was active. The churches were also having services that day and we were able to go into the back to observe and hear the music. We had a fabulous lunch, went to a chocolate tasting that we loved and walked around town with Ximena’s guidance and stories. We finally took the cable car up the mountain for a fantastic view and hiked up to the swings for unique photos. Ximena was caring and patient as we stopped for many breaks to catch our breath in this high altitude. I recommend this tour, where you can choose to do what interests you with the help of an experienced guide!

We took this tour as iternaries had everything we wanted to do in Quito in one day.  The trip was definitely very enjoyable with Cesar Luis as our guide. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. Driving was very safe. From El Pancillo, the 2 Churches to Mitad Del Mundo, every location was interesting. Time went so quickly that we did all sites before the rain arrived Quito.

A big thank you to Cesar Luis!

My friend and I are from the U.S. and hired Richard to show us birds of the Mindo Cloud Forest. I am an ornithologist and she is a school teacher who has never been birding. Despite our major differences in our skills levels, Richard was able to accommodate us both. He is an excellent guide!!! When we met him, he immediately felt like family and was easy to get along with, fun to be around, accommodating, and really had an excellent personality overall. He taught us A LOT about the birds of Ecuador and I enjoyed every moment of exploring the cloud forest with him. Specifically, he showed us numerous elevations and habitats to maximize our ability to see a diversity of birds. I finally got to see a quetzal (golden-headed) and got some very intimate views of the cock of the rock lek. My friend learned so much, not only about birds, but also Ecuador’s culture and natural history. It was a great adventure and I would definitely like to have him as a guide again when I return to Ecuador. I plan to be back after this great experience.

This was an extraordinary travel experience and more for those with an adventurous spirit. Our guides Jorge and Dario were fantastic. Pickup was punctual and we entered Cotopaxi National Park through a rural route offering a local flavor. We saddled up for the horse ride which was an enjoyable outing for about an hour. Afterwards we headed up to our next stop for the hike up to base camp. It’s a challenging hike be sure you have acclimated to Quito altitude as this hike will put your lungs to the test. The vistas are spectacular and Cotopaxi is a sight to see up close. Making it to base camp was great and a nice notch on the hiking belt.
