Higher end shopping mall. Lots of stores. 3 floors. Nice food court as well. Some sit down restaurants too. Check it out!

My wife and I walked here since it was really close to our hotel. It is a local food market with three floors of fruits, meats, flowers, vegetables and many other foods. Many locals were eating here and this is the place to buy fresh and cooked foods. This is not a tourist market, but was a fun look into the local culture.

Very nice shopping center with a wide range of boutiques (specially for ladies). Nice inner patio with few restaurants and bars.

Known to locals as the Crystal Palace, the cultural center is made of glass, steel, and zinc, and is situated in such a way as to not need lighting during the day. Originally the Santa Clara Market, it was moved to its present location in pieces, after having been in use elsewhere in Quito since 1920. Building components were imported from Hamburg, Germany. It houses meeting and event space. Even if you aren't going there to experience an event, it is worth seeing. It sits atop the hill of Itchimbia, the site of an aboriginal settlement, dedicated to the worship of the gods, with emphasis on Inti.

My visit to the capital of Ecuador, Quito was one of the best experiences that happened since being the capital of our country is a very important place in the world.
Besides being an attraction for being in the center of the world and for its magnificent tourist places, it has one of the best movie theaters.
Cinemark is one of these because it is a really big and comfortable place, the movie VIP room has a big differential from a normal one. Even to wait for the movie, you have sofas to enjoy the good food that is served on site.
If you visit Quito and like the world of cinema and movies, I recommend you visit Cinemark theaters, you will enjoy their good quality sound a lot, comfort you will feel a satisfaction out of another world, do not forget to visit Cinemark.

I go here because there are various options for food, but it always seems ghostly quiet. So if you want to go away from everyone it is a great place.

Have diferent stores, includes a Supermarket where you can find lot of basic products, and a good food court, with varouis vendors and many tables. Is not big as others near but is well designed and easy to walk.

This compact market has hundreds of small craft stalls arranged in rows, with fair prices which are negotiable, as always. Souvenirs and artisanal crafts include shirts, blankets, scarves, jewelry, dolls, soccer jerseys, hats and all the usual things you see, but this is a really convenient set-up. For example, a Panama hat was offered at $10 and quickly dropped to $8 (these same hats were going for $100 in Puerto Rico!) A colorful table runner was $5. There was always security present, and the market is open-air but covered, so it's fine in the rain. Sales were in cash. We walked from our hotel in the New Town on one visit, but the streets, while safe, weren't all that busy, a cab might be wiser. Definitely worth the trip, better than what we found at vendors in the Old Town, and other areas frequented by tourists. This market is also included as a stop on the Quito hop on hop off bus tour.

We thought this to be the best store to shop for Ecuador handicrafts. They have a large selection with not too expensive prices. I ended up getting my Panama hat here, good quality for $80, after comparing at other stores. My wife also filled out her suitcase with more souvenirs. Maybe 4 blocks from Plaza Foch down Moreno towards Old Town.

There's a great choice of cuisine at Plaza Las Americas, Japanese, Italian, American sports bar, etc., etc. There are also ATMs, a cinema, El Español, and more.

Pimkay is a relatively small but adorable space with beautiful, high-quality products. Staff are kind, welcoming, and helpful, too.

I believe it is a spot not to be missed if you plan a long stay in Quito and you need a place to work for some hours and eat lunch or have some coffee (the cafeteria offers great local dishes). Also if you feel comfortable speaking Spanish and wish to take a class or two during your stay (they have yoga and dancing classes, and even a photography laboratory where you can develop your photos). Also, they program many different performances such as plays and concerts. If you stay in the city only for a few days, you might not be able to go to one, but it would still be a great spot to look for arts books and enjoy a good coffee with bolĂłn de verde.
