    Energy and real food smells
    Central market— refurnished about ten years ago and still busy but much for available for tourists and locals. Good smells of a real Mercado. Waiters hustling you to dine at their place.
    Fish, fruits and meat. Restaurants and outside lots of stalls nearby. Certainly Worth a visit. Don’t be overwhelmed. No, smiles and move along.

    Review of: Bio-Bio Market
    Huge popular market
    This is a huge flee market that extends about 3 blocks in big warehouses. A mixture of odors and noises. Here you can buy clothes, shoes, furniture and others at fantastic prices. Many restaurants too offering Chilean and Peruvian food at low prices. You can arrive here through line 6 of Santiago metro and get off at Franklin Station. Line 6 is the newest line of the metro.

    The real Santiago market
    If your in town for a Sunday you have to take a walk up. Yes you have to keep a few whits about you but I didn’t feel more at risk than being in any market ...

    The veg looks amazing and I love the fact you can find whole shops selling one type! The quality and price is just amazing to see. Not sure the fake rat I saw was a great sales tool but hey ho ... when in Santiago!

    Great for gifts
    This is centrally located in the city and has a nice variety of gift possibilities without being overwhelmingly large or crowded. Copper, wools, stone, horsehair mini-crafts, t-shirts, magnets, wood, etc.

    Odd name and nothing to do with drugs or pharmaceuticals but more a focus on cafes and smalls shops in a colorful arcade.Some interesting places in this interesting small arcade.

    Review of: Pergola de las Flores Santa Maria
    Wonderful place for cemetery or wedding flowers!
    This flower market has a wide variety of arrangements to go on gravestones as well as some beautiful cut flowers for arrangements. It was a treat to walk through and it smells lovely!

    Review of: Mercado Mastica
    Wonderful experience
    Mastica is an open air flee market with many food stands and artisanal ones too. You may find food from around the world and a few food trucks. I recommend a stand called Bernadette with wonderful artisanal cheeses.
    We were lucky because the market took place this weekend. Next one is in the beginning of December.

    Llama wool
    I bought some llama wool here for a gift. A good Chilean friend took me here and said this was very good wool at a good price. I had no idea, but the gift recipient really liked it.
