- Low CSingapore, Singapore957 contributionsIt is small in size but quite a long beach and the view is nice. NPB is now building toilets in the park.Written November 29, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Liveyourdream_asiaSingapore, Singapore2,255 contributionsFantastic place if you like wild nature and not crowded places x I usually come to Dairy Farm Park and other parks nearby in the morning. It’s such a fantastic place to connect with nature! In the mornings it’s so beautiful and peaceful here and not crowded (weekends are surely much worst). You can usually see here wild boars, lots of squirrels, flying colugo and monkeys.
The best thing - Dairy Farm park interconnected with other parks with lots of possible roots - you can start for example from Dairy Farm, explore Wallace Educational Centre and go from there to Chestnut Park and even reach Singapore Zoo by walk or bicycle or you may go towards Singapore Quarry and later by Green Corridor reach Bukit Timah Nature Park, Hindhech Park or take the path towards Rifle Range Park.Written January 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is about 1.2 km long. On the ground, there is an Earth Trail running quite parallel to it. One can access the elevated walkway from the Earth trail by climbing the staircase at various points. There are information boards describing the flora and fuana seen in this area.
At the end of the Forest Walk is the Telok Blangah Hill Park. There are many trails in Telok Blangah good for walking or jogging. One trail leads to Depot road. Another leads to Picnic Hill Top. There are two ways to access this Picnic hill top, one involving many steps (about 5 mins walk) and the other way is a more gradual walk. One can have breakfast, brunch etc at the Wildseed cafe situated in Alkaff Mansion here.
From this park, one can cross the bridge known as Henderson Wave to Mount Faber Park.Written August 3, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Better to be on the tram for the Night Safari as the animals were in close proximity. The educational programs in the auditorium were worth it. Kids enjoyed both! Clean environment (washrooms especially). Safe and very informative. Great & tasty food options on site. Great signage with solid information. All aspects were very well organized.Written January 20, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- kim buay pSingapore, Singapore13,871 contributionsBidadari Park is easily accessible as it is next to Woodleigh Mall and its connecting Woodleigh MRT station. From Bartley Station it is about ten minutes walk.
Children can enjoy “Adventure Playwoods” playground that features climbing nets, slides and a zipline which are suitable for older kids. Younger children could play in the sandpits.
The wooded and rustic nature of Bidadari was retained and walking along the 100m long Experiential Trail gives some resemblance to the Hundred Acre Wood from "Winnie-the-Pooh" stories. Unlike the Ashdown Forest (Hundred Acre Wood) in England, there is no Poohsticks Bridge. Along the way is implanted with the old Municipal Coat of Arms and its explanation board. A similar Municipal Coat of Arms is seen at Mt Emily Park.
A marshland boardwalk with an observation deck and pavilion allows visitors to observe the tranquil scenery.
Nearer to the Woodleigh Mall is Alkaff Lake which serves also as a multi-functional drainage infrastructure such as a stormwater retention pond during heavy rainfall. Its construction probably drew inspiration from the famous Alkaff Garden with its lake long ago.
The land bridge was planted with lots of colourful flowering shrubs and trees to cater to butterflies and birds, which can travel between the two green spaces, namely Bidadari Hillock and Bidadari Park. Bidadari Hillock serves as a stopover for migratory birds as the hillock is located on higher topography with more vegetation. It is a good bird sighting "hotspot".
There is also a Heritage Walk with story boards on the history of this area. A stroll through the Rolling Hills delights with its wildflower meadows such as the blue "White Weed" and yellow Peanut Plant.
This park is best enjoyed in cool weather.Written September 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
