These are best viewed at night time and if you time it right at about 7:30PM there is a light and music show which makes the visit worthwhile. We bought tickets for the sky walk linking the trees so ideally if you can time your visit to the light show it is even better.

We initially wanted to see the Battlebox at Fort Canning, however this was closed, something since covid a lot of places do now. So we went to the Museum instead and were not disappointed.

Interesting place to visit but has some very strong religious vibes in a way that you probably don't get from many other religious places of worship. I suspect that some of the exhibits are of dubious authenticity and most of it is labelled as within the last hundred years or so.

We took this tour as part of the Go City pass. It was a very interesting tour and then yo can wander through the rooms yourselves after the tour.

With a wide range of exhibits, be prepared to spend at least half a day, if not longer here. General admission is free for locals, with some special exhibits which require fees (although these are free for students and teachers).

We spent 5 hours in the Museum and this was still not enough. I particularly enjoyed the Shipwreck section on the Ground Floor. We also went on both the Batik Kita Tour (which is the current Special Exhibition) and the General Tour which was back to back. The Batik Kita tour took about 50mins that I did not have much time to casually go through the exhibition before having to join the General Tour.

We did find the SGD 25 on the high side as quite often Museums are free to visit worldwide.

Amazing architecture that's well maintained. Its a vast area due to its narrow streets, goods and services here are in the expensive side due to its tourist image but worth the visit

One of the lesser known attractions of Singapore. But it has been around for many years. The exterior of the place is also starting to show its age. It’s a bit out of the way by public transport, and don’t expect to have much choice for meal or break as there is only 1 main cafe with limited sitting capacity.

Despite all these shortcoming, it is a good place to explore and exposure young children to all things science. The best thing about the place is that almost all the exhibits allow participants to interact with it. So it is really fun for both kids and even adults. There are plenty of informative information provided for each exhibit making it a truly learning experience.

There are also side activities planned at different halls which was great as its a good way to engage and encourage learning and developing kids interest to science.

Another well deserved thumbs up is the availability of seats strategically placed for adults and parents to rest themselves at the different halls. These came in very handy as one can sit and keep watch while the young one freely explore the hall and play.

Apart from the place requiring some upgrades, the other downside would probably be that some of the event halls are not fully open or has limited items on display. Perhaps it would have been better to just consolidate and rotate the operations of the halls and focus on different theme of each season instead of giving the impression that the place lacks maintenance.

Also not sure why there has to be a restriction to the visiting hours. The place is quite big and both kids and adults could easily be kept occupied for the entire day. Was quite disappointed to know that morning tickets holders have to leave the place by 1pm, don’t recall having such restrictions in the pass.

Wish the place well, as it is amazing that the place continues to keep itself relevant all these years for the different generations of visitors with the inclusion of new and interesting items. Hope to be back again.

We visited in May 2022 so I am not sure why TripAdvisor indicates this is closed. If It os open, it is worth a visit as it is very interesting about the history of contributors to Singapore growth and culture. Visit if you can do so.

An easy, fun indoor attraction to escape the humidity. Lots of interactive immersive activities aimed at kids but adults could also enjoy. We only visited Future World which was perfect for our family of kids aged 8,10 and 14.

When our Grab driver dropped us off I was convinced we were in the wrong location but Alvin Yap the delightful proprietor came out to greet us. We hosted our family of four with tea, snacks and an introduction to his personal passion project of many years, collecting Peranakan artifacts and displaying them in his home. Clearly, the collection is destined for a more formal venue, and we felt lucky to be viewing it in such a personal setting. Many thanks to Mr. Yap for sharing his home so generously with the public, and for what I thought was a modest fee.

Probably the best mall along orchard road, and rivals the marina bay sands mall. It has all the luxury and non luxury shopping you would ever want, and more. Many restaurants and cafes as well of course. Plus art galleries, singapore airlines office, and ATMs

While it seems like the museum is not too large at first. We spent around 2.5 hours walking the entire thing simply because it was information rich.

Some of the exhibits are duplicated throughout the entire museum but otherwise, it was informative.

We spent a good hour going through the museum today. The content is modern and well presented and unlike other museums you don’t feel like you are overwhelmed with content and facts figures by the end. It really is well done!!

I would recommend doing the Battlebox tour before this museum as you will find it is a follow on from a lot of the content you have already learnt.

A modern touch is the top it tour guide. First time I have ever seen this and again it worked well with the content and exhibits.

    Getting there:
    - MRT to Upper Changi
    - follow the exit signs to Bus 2.
    - once on bus 2 it is seven stops
