There's supermarkets here, lots of food and the nice fountain in the middle. Alot of high end restaurants here, but also local favorites in the food court. Take the train and walk frm terminal 1 otherwise it's so far away from terminal 2 walking. Allocate 15 to 20 mins time from here to your terminals as shuttles have a schedule. Worth wandering around and grabbing last minute things - PS: garret, bee chieng and irvins are cheaper inside the terminals.

Easily reachable by MRT. A good place for leisure, shopping and dining. Colorful buildings. In the daytime, it was quiet and comfortable to enjoy river walk.

We went on a Monday morning to avoid the big weekend crowds. What a huge store with most things you could think of. As Australians, we enjoyed the Indian flavour and my wife bought a pant suit for fancy dress with some jewellery to match. I was able to find some diabetic jam to use at breakfast at our hotel. This is a unique cultural shopping experience - have some fun here!

Luxury shopping mall with premium/luxury brands shops. Very decent food court in the basement level, great choice of different local cuisine. Underground station directly under mall, serving as commuting point to Gardens by the Bay, shopping centre itself or for evening light show.

ion orchard is a very busy establishment. it houses more than 300 retail shops that would suit your fancy - bags, shoes, clothes, restaurants, etc. this is where most tourists frequently go along orchard road mainly because there's a subway station inside the mall.

ion speaks of affluence. but you can still find cheap finds during sale season. they say you have not arrived in SG if you missed visiting this place.

Very large hawker centre that needs to be tried. Multiple choices of food and open seating areas. Bit more expensive than normal hawkers but is very central and a popular attraction

A sprawling complex of cafes, restaurants, high end fashion, specialty stores, in fact, it would be easy to spend a day here looking at the merchandise and attractions, but we only spent a half day as most stores seem to remain closed until 10.00am and some not until 11.00am. I understand that there are some 500 outlets in this complex. Also seems to be the base for the HOHO bus and other tour companies. Friendly staff throughout but not overly busy on the day we visited.

My fourth visit to Satay Street in 3 visits to Singapore over the last 7 years. Always a fun experience and the satay is excellent. Love the fact a road is closed off each evening and tables are set up on the street.

We went on a Sunday and it was packed, but that didn't deter us from browsing. We found some bargains in Nike where I bought two pairs of shoes, two Tshirts and two other tops for less than 190, two pairs of Asics runners for $130 (each would have been between $250 to $295 in Australia), and a Coach handbag for $470 (usual price was $900). If you're willing to take on the crowds and have a proper look, you may find some great deals.

A group of us met at Raffles City for lunch. A couple of friends got there early so they decided to explore the place. In the past, we had dined in the basement. There isn’t much choice there. This time they turned into City Link and saw the Hundred Grains Restaurant. It looked interesting so everyone agreed to dine there. It’s buffet style. We got a tray and filled it with food. Then we went to the cashier to get it weighed. It costs $3.60 per 100gm. We can take as much or as little as we want. Brown rice, white rice and porridge are free. So are the drinks and fruit. It’s a great idea because there was no waste. Everyone was bringing their leftovers home. The MRT station is City Hall and City Link is on the right, after one exits the station. It’s clearly marked. I enjoyed the food and wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

Had afternoon tea with girlfriends at Singapore Coffee. Ordered the pineapple blossom tart and chocolate cake as croissants and tiramisu already ran out by 3pm. Both were yumilicious. Ordered 3 Mandarin Blossom Iced Tea, unfortunately didn't taste consistent based on my friends' comments. My iced pandan latte tasted fine. Nice vibe and warm ambience in the cafe although a little the air a little still - perhaps aircon not strong enough (even the aesthetic ceiling fan mechanism didn't help). Overall pleasant venue for afternoon tea amongst friends.

Come with an empty belly and an open mind. The sights and sounds can be a bit overwhelming at this packed dining Mecca but worth the effort. Grab a shared table and takes your pick from dozens of stalls. I had the chicken byriani, pakoras, samosa, dosas, iced coffees, sugar can juice …. And more. Had great talks with locals who come everyday, young and old all happy to share their life stories. Dishes start from about $1 to $7.50. Later we went upstairs to clothing market for some real bargains.

Haven't been back in many years - It's still a bustling place connecting Bugis plus, bugis street - direct to Intercontinental hotel, the mtr. Lots of affordable to more expensive items - food court seems to be full on weekends, the supermarket prices are not bad although i dont see much luxury stuff here more of middle range things. Many affordable hotels in walking distance, a whole food street with thai mookrata and chinese restaurants. Good for a whole day or wandering around and doing things for tourist and locals.

A wonderful and relaxing afternoon surrounded by beautiful butterflies! They come from research facilities and national parks and have lived their lives before coming here. It was so much fun to learn all about them from Faith. I would definitely love to come back again!
