What travelers are saying
- Stuart B5 contributionsI go every year. No nightclubs, no girlie bars - just nature. No drunks - just reefs (scuba and snorkel), waterfalls, hot cold and soda water springs, largest clams on the planet, floating restaurants, zip lines and so much more. Clean. No 5 stars. You must like water. Hard to get to but worth it. Cheap. Bring some basketballs to give to the local kids. They're all basketball mad but very poor. Like Bali before the tourists. No drugs (you'll get shot). Only downside - no surf beaches but I live on the beach in OZ so no biggie.Written June 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Neo FormzCagayan de Oro, Philippines525 contributionsYour visit to Camiguin Island will never be complete if you fail to visit the enchanting perfect creation of Nature - the White Island. You must try guys!Written November 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Melania_Cruz_LimjocoAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates280 contributionsThe island is literally naked and bare so it’s the perfect spot to get away from it all. We brought wine glasses and bottles of rosé which we sipped while watching the beautiful sunset by the shore.Written March 31, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JunBaguio, Philippines205 contributionsOne of the highlights of my trip to Davao City. Instead of taking a taxi or Grab, I decided to take a jeepney ride. Take a jeep to Calinan Transport Terminal and ride a van with label “CALINAN”. Travel time is approximately 1 hour. I asked the drover to drop me at Calinan Market and from there, I took a pedicab towards Philippine Eagle Center. My fare totaled to almost ₱300 instead of the ₱1,300++ if I took Grab.
Take time to observe the birds and be respectful of the surroundings (no noise is allowed, no littering, no scaring the animals, etc.). Try to leave some tip as well as this will go to the management of the center. Don’t forget to bring some insect repellant. Mosquitoes are everywhere!
The only thing that I didn’t like is the small enclosure of the majestic Philippine eagles. I wonder if they get depressed inside their very small and restrictive cages!
After my visit, I went out to the highway and hailed a pedicab and headed nearby Malagos Garden Resort (fare is ₱30).
From Malagos Resort, I went across the highway and took a pedicab towards Calinan. I asked the driver to drop me at “L300 or Taloda”. From there, just ride the van going to Roxas Night Market (just across Ateneo De Davao) for a sumptuous and cheap dinner.Written November 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VanIsleMonkeyNanoose Bay, Canada363 contributionsThis stop was part of our Tri-Island tour. We really enjoyed this spot! This is where we had our ‘seafood spread’ boodle fight lunch. We had been to two boodle fight lunches and this one was by far the best tasting one we had!
Daku also has a great swimming area. On this tour they were also offering guests to wear a mermaid fin to get photos. Great stop on our trip-island tour!Written November 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Boats at the port are around Php 700 (or was it 750?) round trip, plus environmental fee. Boat can accommodate upto 4 pax, so if you are traveling solo, you can either hire the entire boat or arrange to divide expenses with fellow solo travellers. Get ready with your Camiguin QR code. One can stay at the island for a maximum of 3 hours.
Boats are available at 6am, it's a quick 15-20 minute ride from the port to the island.
No wash rooms in the island, you can rinse when you get back to the port.Written June 20, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Fish feeding every 12noon and 3pm daily brings out the best view where fishes from the deepest part of the water comes up and show its beautiful colors.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Carms Geo5 contributionsThis is a hidden gem of Iligan. You can go either way via Buruun or Linamon. Both have developed safe steps. Majestic waterfalls on the site. Just not sure why people have to pay for table and chairs after paying the entrance fee. The life jackets are too old and unsafe.Written September 5, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
