I purchased my ticket on Klook. I printed my voucher and took it to the Si-Kat desk in the lobby on the City State Hotel on Mabini Street. The bus was there to pick us up by 8 am. It takes a while to get through the traffic in Manila. So by 11:30 am we arrived at the pier. Be aware going through security at the terminal a couple men grabbed my luggage telling me they work there. Then later suggested I give them a tip each. My luggage is light. One of them I could literally lift with my middle finger. The suitcase is the type that rolls when I hold the handle. So no I did not give them a tip. But I had to use the restroom and I left my luggage where the other passengers from the bus were sitting. Within a few minutes my luggage was gone. I asked the supervisor of the porters where is my luggage? He told me they were put on the ferry. There was a lot of luggage there, When we arrived at Puerto Galera my luggage was not there. I filed a report. It was still on the pier. So be careful if anyone grabs your luggage off the x-ray security sternly tell them you do not need help. And insist you don't. This was the only negative experience.

The bus has a bathroom break along the way going and coming. Coming back hold on to your luggage. There are some men who will try to "help" you with your luggage. If you really need help then of course seek their services.

The Si-Kat guide will be there with a sign informing its passengers to congregate in a certain area as they disembark the ferry.

As always, Victory liner has provided a good service to all travellers. We had a good sleep until we reached my hometown.

I regularly use Victory liner when in Northern Luzon. Good clean buses that ply the North. Can be slow as don’t always use highways so can take 4 - 5 hours from Olongapo to Manila.
Power supply to charge tablet or phone, so sit back and watch a movie.

Out of all the bus liners going to Baguio from Manila. I feel the safest with Victory. F you are coming back to Manila, they offer a shuttle to NAIA, which makes it quite convenient.

We took the VIP bus from Manila to Banaue. The bus was one hour late, we got an e-mail informing us about 2hours before the scheduled time. But we were already in the taxi so we ended waiting for several hours at the bus station. There is not much to do, the waiting area is small, hot and a lot of noise and gases from the buses. There's a 7/11 store nearby. We were not allowed to take an earlier bus, so the 22.30 p.m. bus left before the 22.00 p.m.bus.
The bus was clean, comfortable, with a lot of leg space. The w.c. was functioning and was cleaned several times during the ride.
There was even toilet paper and soap.
We started well on the highway, but when we left it the driver was driving really crazy, overtaking trucks, buses and other vehicles at curves and unbelievable places. We stopped like 10times for dropping passengers off and on. At one place he stopped for more than half an hour, but didn't announced it was an official break. Many people were trying to sleep, but when I went out at the end it turned out we,'re waiting for another bus to come and take some luggage. So there was no an official break. We reached Banaue in only 7 hours after a sleepless night, because of the crazy driving.
I was a little angry because of the many stops but after that I found that the people are very poor and there is not much transportation, so these buses are the only choice for them. Some could not get on because we were almost fully booked and remained waiting in the night.
The bus is extremely cold, so better take a blanket or dress well. There were 5-6 blankets in the bus, but you should ask for them.
On our way back it was a Deluxe bus, not much difference. The driver was perfectly o.k. may be because of the heavy traffic. The bus was again late, but only half an hour. It took us 10h to reach Manila. The bus stopped only once for 20min, 1h after we started in Banaue. The place was nice, with toilet and good looking restaurant. The driver said there will not be other stops, which is strange for such a long journey. But at the end he agreed to stop 1.5h before Manila for 15min. The place was like mall with shops, food, toilet.
The return bus was fully booked from Sagada and Banaue so we didn't take any passengers. And also very cold. No internet in the buses.
The drivers don't explain much about stops etc. We had 2 drivers and they changed driving.

When I went to the the Philippines I flew in to Manila but my friends were in Clark. Little did I know how bad the traffic would be. I hired a private car and paid $89 USD. It took almost 1.5 hours from the airport to the edge of Manila and another 3 hours to Clark. Leaving Manila the traffic was backed up at least 25 miles.

When I was flying back my flight was not until noon and all I could think about was the traffic. A friend told me about this bus service and for less than $10 it was a piece of cake.

The bus leaves Clark every hour on the hour and dropped me right off at terminal 3 (international). It was safe, no hassle and quite comfortable. You pay on the bus.

I recommend going the day before and over night at a hotel (Hilton or Sheraton are right there).

In this point of the CV19 pandemic the requirements for traveling to Ilocos has loosened up a bit. Nonetheless, even a month before the downgrade, office staff will assist you in traversing the process in order to get a bus ticket and the gov't health requirements (then). Bus is well maintained, hopefully they keep it that way forever.

Station is very tight in space. Suggest that you buy ticket ahead of time in their office since they do it manually. See photo for sched of trips.
