- lydSan Andres, Philippines6 contributionsSince Nov 2020, high traffic stations at Recto Manila terminal and Cubao QC, some elevators/escalators still not operational. Climbing the 20 meter high stairs with a 5 kg load is a challenge for the elderly and disabled.
Line have been extended this year with only six old coaches for the whole route. Waiting for 10-20 minutes for the next train to arrive is normal.
Air-con cooling has improved because ridership is down because of the Covid 19 pandemic risks..Written May 23, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - kimlabaoBulacan, Philippines33 contributionsOn our visayan trip, used fastcat about 4-5 times in one month. Of all the RORO service in the country, this is the safest I’ve been. They are following the Marine regulations especially about safety of life at sea. They conduct life vest demo which other roro service doesn’t do at all. Two things I noticed that needs improvement. On our 1 hour trip from Bohol to Cebu, my son wanted to have a drink from the canteen but staff told me that I cannot buy any longer because they are doing inventory. Really? Inventory? On a 1 hour trip? Wanted to buy 20 minutes after departure but staff denied selling. Luckily another staff came by and sold me one. Another instance, on our trip from Bacolod to Iloilo, just before arriving to pier, staff alllowed a paprent to bring hos son to the car port. I estimated the child to age 7-8. When I tried to bring my child downstairs, staff didn’t allow. When askeds the reason, staff said it depends on the age of child if they will allow in the carport. Again really? Only drivers are allowed to go in the carport as per their policy.Written May 1, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ynadqnorManila, Philippines1,409 contributionsA big port south of the City of Manila engage in the carriage of people and goods directly to most of the islands in the archipelago. Large shipping companies make this port their home. It is easy to book a seat with the 500seater ships docked everyday. However, a glaring downside is the lack of clean restroom outside the terminal.Written November 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- 7 Million Mile FlierCorvallis, OR106 contributionsMy AirBnB in Makati was about a 10 minute walk from the Hulo Terminal so I thought the ferry would be an interesting & inexpensive way to get to Intramuros, Chinatown, etc. And it was.... almost. The fare was 30P and I waited about 10 minutes for the next ferry.
During the ride I asked if I could go to the open bow for pictures and the captain(?) said OK. There were better views of the river and a bit of a breeze compared to the cabin which was a bit stuffy. There was not as much traffic on the river as I expected but there was enough to make the trip interesting.
For some reason that wasn't explained or announced, the boat's last stop was Santa Ana which is less than half way to Intramuros. The Santa Ana terminal wasn't as "formal" as the Hulo Terminal and the neighborhood looked a little poorer.
So I got off as directed and started following the other passengers. Less than 100 yards/meters away was (what I now know to be) the Santa Ana market which was a nice exposure to the local culture at a lower economic strata compared to the richer Makati CBD. After walking around the market I wasn't sure how to get to Intramuros so I walked up to a motor-trike driver parked in an alley and said Intramuros? He said "how much?" which was not the response I expected so to avoid prolonged back&forth I said 300 pesos (I could surely have done it for much less than that)... and off we went.Written November 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - saf7670Peterborough, UK1,826 contributionsOnce you get used to the idea that for most journeys you will be crammed inside like sardines in a can, with little working aircon. Then the LRT and MRT become a cheap and fast way to cross the city. I often stay in Malate then use the LRT to EDSA if visiting MOA, or transfer onto the MRT if going to Mega Mall, or Trinoma. The journey time is a fraction of the time a taxi would take and the cost is minimal, just a few peso for a journey.Written May 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Eric LoretoLuzon, Philippines8 contributionsThe instructions were clear and feedbacks were given at the end of exercises. Peter is an excellent Dive instructor; very focused on the lessons but full of fun and laughter during the dive sessions. Planning on taking advance course in the future.Written December 10, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Samantha B1 contributionI had pre-booked a driver to collect my elderly father from the airport in Manila. The communication via email during the booking process was awesome, and then it was above exceptional on the day the driver collected my father from the airport. There was an extensive delay at the airport due to some confusion from dad, and the driver waited patiently for him, while communicating with me via WhatsApp. The driver then collected my father even though he was very delayed and let me know he had found him and was taking him to his hotel.
The service was above and beyond my expectations and was great value as well!!

- Marco-AntonioLondon, UK303 contributionsWe had Chris P., as ourtour guide and he was amazing. Highly recommend him.
Additionally, we had experience with another operator which was beyond poor. Thank goodness for this company.
Chris, his team and organisation were professional, humorous, knowledgable, friendly and very courteous.
We did tour A and due to the crowds, Chris and his team helped us navigate the crowds so that we arrived at optimal times where less people when possible were not around. At times, we were the only ones on islands or lagoons which was amazing for crowded El Nido!
Our tour, boat, food, snorkelling adventures, swimming and explorations were all great.
The food these guys prepared and setup for us on an island all to ourselves was remarkable.
The tour was great but what made it really good was a great tour guide and crew!
I also had numerous questions for our tour and the team were very responsive, informative and had a sense of humour. Very professionally ran.
Our tour was also private and if you're able to do this, I highly recommend.
Be mindful that some tour operators are not good and the boat or their translation services are not good at all. Some are also thieves with your money, permits etc.
Chris and his team were professional, trustworthy, fun and great guides.
Thanks for a great time and for all!
Highly recommend the company and our guide!Written March 3, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - bakricidal1 contributionThere's no exact words can explain how satisfied we were during our last trip in Boracay with the help of this agency.
"What you see, is what you get." If you are looking for a cheap accomodation yet worth the budget and considering you have no idea on where to go, what to try, or just simply where to explore, then you came to the right agency. In terms of their accomodation, Hands down👌🏻 they are really giving the service that you are looking for. All i can say is, that we made a good choice on trusting this agency. Me and my family had so much fun knowing the fact that it was only a 5-day-vacation trip yet we made a bunch of memories that will surely be treasured forever. Thankyou so much CTPH, till next time. ✨Written February 11, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - rlim829Quezon City, Philippines2 contributionsUsed Vagabond Pinas numerous times now for all my trips back to the Philippines. The latest one being a personalised extended family trip for a group of 19 people.
Jp and the guys are easy to liaise with and so easy going! You can imagine it was hard to manage a group of 19 but they managed to stay on top of everything, attended to individual requests, and make sure we were all on schedule. Great job, Jp and team! Until next time! :)Written June 20, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Alvaro CBilbao, Spain46 contributionsIt was a real taylor made experience, an exclusive trip for the four of us.
