This was an epic journey. I recommend you plan diligently when aiming to catch a flight out of Manila NAIA due to the hectic traffic delays (which we fortunately accounted for). We left our hotel in Puerto Galera at 840am to catch the 10am Galerian fastcraft (they ask you to arrive 1hr early) (ticket price 600php each) for a flight out of Manila T2 at 6.05pm (prepaid 4 weeks early at approx 2300php one way). The ferry usually only takes around 1hr but it was about 30mins late. I utilized the online airline check in at this point which in hindsight was a blessing!

On exiting the Batangas Port terminal building, buses to all Manila bus terminals were easy to find immediately in front of the exit. (277php each). We chose to go to the PTIX terminal to be close to the airport so we could then catch a short Grab, however the bus traveled further north and stopped at Buendia first! As we were already 1.5hrs late from traffic delays we decided to disembark at Buendia and order a Grab from there. The Grab driver then got lost on his way to picking us up causing us to lose another 40 minutes. We quickly cancelled the first Grab and ordered a second one going via the Skyway toll road for an expedited journey. (576php inc 45php toll). All in all we made it to bag drop with only 40 minutes to spare. Fortunately the bag drop and security process was super fast - as we surely would have missed our scheduled boarding time otherwise! In the end our flight was delayed 1.5hrs so an exhausting journey overall. If done again I would get an earlier ferry. I definitely recommend the online check in! Best of luck ya’ll!!

Free hourly service. If full, will need to wait for next ferry. Not exactly scenic, but a nice alternative to traffic jams. Nice way to travel into and around the City. We used it to get from Makati North (Hulo) to Quinta Market and Chinatown.

We travelled Bohol to Cebu via 2go Travel.

2GO Travel ferry provides an average travel experience, earning a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. The ferry journey offered a decent mode of transportation, but it didn't particularly stand out. While the facilities were satisfactory, the overall comfort level fell short of expectations.

I traveled on the light rail about four times. The first time was fine. By the time we got to the third time we were all seated when we were told the train needed to be taken out of service. The train was packed. Also people who were waiting to take the train some were standing on the stairs waiting to come down to the platform. It's very overcrowded. I thought I had seen my share of overcrowded trains with the NYC subway. But Manila takes the prize.

When we came off the first train we lost our seats. The second train showed up in under 10 minutes this was on a Saturday. Eventually we got on but one person in my party had to stand. The saving grace the train is air conditioned. To get up to the train you need to be physically fit. I saw an elevator in a couple of the stations. But everyone can't use that. So prepare for a good workout. And every station you have to present to security for a bag check or a physical check for weapons. Some stations have an x-ray machine which makes movement faster. I keep telling myself this could never work in NYC. In NYC a federal judge allowed the police to do random checks or checks of backpacks. But not everyone has to go through a security check here. Also they have much fewer stations than the NYC transit system so they could pull that off putting police or security at every station.

I have to say people have a lot of patience there. One time my friend and I were going to take the train at the Pedro Gil station. But when I saw the long line outside the station waiting to go through security I told her let's walk. We needed to get to United Nations, the next station which was like a 10-minute walk. I couldn't see myself rushing to catch a train in Brooklyn and had to stand in a long time to get inside the subway. My friend came to meet me for breakfast during the week the train is full including Saturday. Sunday was the only day of respite. She said at least two trains passed her. She had to squeeze in on the third or miss breakfast. Such is life in metro Manila.

I did a video on this that I posted on my YouTube channel.

The transfer from Manila to Puerto Galera was seamless. I took a Grab (formerly Uber) from the airport to the CityState Tower Hotel and bought a round-trip ticket to Puerto Galera. The comfortable, air-conditioned bus left on time and took me to the ferry at Batangas. There is a new air-conditioned ferry terminal to wait in. When I arrived in Puerto Galera, there was a Tuk-Tuk driver (which Si-Kat arranged) to take me to my resort. The entire process went smoothly and was very reasonably priced.

We contacted Woola to prepared our trip to Philippines because of its excellent reviews. We met them via zoom and decided an itinerary based on what we wanted and they proposed. The result has been an extraordinary experience in four islands for 18 days. Everything worked well. Flights, transfers, hotels, excursions. We felt Woola was on top of each detail every day.

We booked two seats in a Deluxe bus from Cubao to Alaminos. The station is new and clean with cheerful staff. The bus is clean with comfort room. The thing is, we left 15 minutes late because the bus still accepts last minute bookings. They don’t inform passengers that some seats are booked already so groups tend to split up, occupy paid seats while their friends buy the tickets for them. Moreover, they still get passengers for short trips in between. the trip took even longer. No complimentary snack and water or just water like in other bus lines, again, it’s okay. We try to understand because the destination is not like Baguio or any frequently visited place but hey, we paid for time as well. Why is it called Deluxe trip for? for the CR? 😂

just asked a question on FB the other day(because of my experience 2 years ago that UBE don't operate in terminal 2 of NAIA after 19:00) whether UBE EXPRESS PREMIUM AIRPORT SERVICE FOLLOW their advertised hours of operation(24 hours everyday in their grand prix route)and their response is they operate 24 hours per day but hourly(probably during evening and night hours as they only mentioned hourly); i hope they operate in all terminals of NAIA 24 hours everyday. do they really need the presence of dispatchers who collect fares during odd hours?i guess management don't trust their drivers collecting fares?

We had our wedding anniversary trip in Boracay. From Manila, we landed in Kalibo, Aklan past midnight, and I didn't expect our flight to get delayed. No worries, because I booked from Guide to the Philippines a week before our trip. It was the best experience we had with Southwest Tours. Very accommodating, very professional (on time), well organized, and best customer-oriented approach. We feel safe and secure during the duration of our travel from shared Kalibo Airport transfers to Belmont Boracay Hotel, Land and Boat experience, and vice versa when we return to Manila. I highly recommend the Guide to the Philippines, don't hesitate to book for your next travel trip.

Arrived from a international trip from T1 and ask for loop bus going to T3 not for domestic trip but to meet a friend. But we were NOT allowed. The guy said it's only for passengers with connecting flights. So frustrated. So we took a cab to T3 and was charged 300 pesos for less than 2 miles trip.

We went during the holy week and understandably can be extremely busy. Our trip was Bacolod to Dumangas and vv. We arrived early for the 6am trip (4:15am) so that we can secure tickets. Mind you, we went the day before to purchase tickets in advance but were not allowed to do so (again, can understand, if this was their protocol). When we got there, they've asked us to queue. However, they've totally disregarded the queue and started letting people get ahead. There were people who've made online bookings and were prioritized. This was not explained to us when we went there the day before, that we could book online.

Towards the end, there were four vehicles waiting to be loaded but apparently, they only had two spaces left. One of the staff 'chose' which two can go, totally disregarding again the car owners in queue. He had to be reprimanded by one angry customer to change his mind.

In the end, we weren't able to get seats for the 6am trip due to them very disorganized. There were loads of angry customers as the queue was not respected at all.

The boat was late as well. And for the 10am trip, we left at around 11:30. I understand that this can be due to safety checks, etc, however, there was no advice/announcement/apology whatsoever for the incovenience. They just didn't care about people's time, expecting people to just accept that this is how it's done.

It was the same for our trip home, very delayed, staff at the counter apparently allocated the same set of seat numbers to two different groups (double booked) and had to re-do things. The trip was for 5pm and we left at 7:30pm. Again, no announcement/advice/apology. I don't understand how this is just tolerated and the management just don't do anything about this.

I'm giving this two stars because the saving grace is the crew aboard. Very helpful and accommodating. If not for them, this would be a one star rating.

I went on 3 tours including the intramuros tour, street food tour, and real manila experience tour. V was amazing, friendly, and helpful. The tours were also great for a first timer in Manila such as myself. I got to see the city from different angles. Very recommended to book your next tours with V!
