The cave is not far from the village. You will start by going down to the bottom. Note that going down is by far harder than going up.
Physically it's not very demanding but the rocks can be very slippery so you'll have to watch where you step.
Bring a short pants and don't be afraid to be wet. Also bring a head torch, it Will be helpful.
Don't not bring a big bag or a big camera with you, it will brother you on the way down and can be A REAL inconvenience.
DO NOT go there without a local guide !!!

When visiting Sagada this is of course a must see, but only once will do. At the time we go, Sagada just "opened" and only limited tours were available. Sign up a day before for the tour. It is a 2 hours hike in total easy to medium. The guide was very nice and accommodating. The coffins itself you only see like 10 and it is an interesting way to be buried but once you seen it it is OK.

Amazed by how they buried the dead way back with no lights, no safety gears and slippery stones just to place the coffins on the top of the caves. We didnt get to see the hanging coffins up close since it is closed due to burial. Unlucky too that it is raining and power is interrupted when we went here.

Callao Cave is one of the tourist destinations in Tuguegarao City though it’s not really located within the city but in the neighboring town Peñablanca-which means white rock. Some changes from the last time I came here was, they now have tour guides and they discovered another cave just beside Callao called Sierra Cave which involves a lot crawling. After visiting the Cave, you can do a boat ride were you will pass by the “mororan” and you can have picnic and swim near the rocky area of the river after. The water is still clean. I wish the LGU or Tourism Authority provides a life vest during the boat ride. Worth a visit.

Not the easiest trail to transverse; especially if you are handicapped in any way. Although, I have been over rougher trails. They have horses that you can ride a short loop around near the cave formations. They have some pay as you go bathrooms and no-fee ones as well. It was nice to get out look at the area and stretch the legs. The weather definitely could have been nicer. It rained pretty hard as we prepared to leave the area.

Looking for a peaceful and not crowded place to unwind then Talisayin Cove is perfect for you. You will enjoy the serenity in this cove and don't worry about the electricity for they have until midnight. Just bring all the possible needed things to make your stay hassle free. Would love to go back this summer.

We have the cave all to ourselves and the tour guide was very accommodating and knowledgeable. It wasn't as good as the underground river in Palawan but it was a unique experience nonetheless. My daughter was looking forward for the bats but I guess they were all tired and hibernating. Some of the rock formation were captivating as well as the crystals. It was also naturally cool/ventilated inside (I was surprised), thought it would be very hot and cramp. It was a good experience, only downside was it was raining when we came out of the cave and can not see the Mayon volcano on the horizon. Would have been really perfect if it wasn't.

this cave was not in our itinerary but since it's proximal to daranak falls, we took a quick turn to visit before we headed to pililia.

it was a welcome surprise! calinawan cave is something to marvel at. it used to be a hush-hush location for old movies and TV shows that needed an underground setting. our tour guide took very good fotos of us while explaining each facet of the rock formations inside as well as the history of the place. our helmets served their purpose.

it was humid inside but the inconvenience was worth it. for 30 minutes, we explored up to the 2nd out of the 5 sections of the cavern. we would have gone deeper but due to time constraints, we opted to head to the exit.

    nice place. very good experience.

Everything went smoothly as we sailed away. From a distance, I thought I saw a lighthouse as we approach the shore. To my disappointment, I learned that it was a power plant and the smell from the area near this towering powerplant was strong. Just a few minutes after that is the sight of Kwebang Lampas. At last! Our initial plan was to do an island hopping, but since we arrived late, we decided to stay in Kwebang Lampas as we enjoy the creamy sands and clear waters.

I have visited a few caves in the country and it's always similar-- stalagmites, stalactites, crystals, dripping water from the ceiling, pool of water, rock formations, others. But if you believe on the agony of Jesus Christ and with much of imagination the rock formations and structures on the walls and on the floor become mystical---of course with the aid of a guide.
The guide uses the beam to show you the half side of the lying image of the body of Christ .The beam also shows a half image of a skull Another shows the the Virgin Mary carrying the baby Jesus. There are other formations he calls the Apostles. There is also a wishing well, a dried pool and "bell" that when hit hard by your hand produces a ding-dong sound of an ancient bell---if you would imagine it as sound from a bell.
During my recent visit there was a group of touch healers who came to draw some "powers" from the mystical cave. They regularly use the cave to pray, according to Lito, my guide. My advice is take the Marcos highway access if you have your own car. Upon reaching the boundary of barrio San Luis turn right to a rough road and in less than five kilometers you are at the foot of a pathway going to the cave entrance. Do not use the Antipolo City access because of the steep downhill and uphill road that traverses through a private subdivision. If you commute, motorcab fare from the highway is 40 pesos per head. From the cathedral it's P150 per trip. There are trips going back to the highway.

Me and my family always go here to visit and have some time for ourselves to meditate on what the Lord whats to say to us . This is great place to just sit and observe while you talk to God on your own . My house is just near here that’s why me and my family always go here . This is a place to visit and it is also amazing because it is inside of a cave ! 🤞🏻

As someone who's has never climbed a mountain before, my co-worker invited me to climb 3 mountains in one day. Thinking that the hike might be easy (who can climb 3 difficult mountains in one day, why would people organize something crazy like that) I agreed and asked him if he thinks I can do it. He told me I could. He was right (sort of) but I still hated him for it.

By 3 am we were already on our way to Rodriguez via a jeepney ride to Montalban. Afterwards, a trike to the foot of the mountains where you can also change (there are bathrooms and showers) and buy some climbing gloves and caps (I got a pair for P50, still have it until today).

Paid the fee and my co-worker already has an existing contact for a tour guide (this would be his second time climbing the mountains) and we were all set.

Climbing the first mountain at 4 am for me was a challenge; granted I am not the most fit person in the planet but wow that hike up was exhausting and long. It was also dark and rocky but my coworker has advised me early on to pack a flashlight (w/c I did). It wasn't easy to hold the flashlight and use my other hand as a guide to hold on to rocks/stems/branches. My coworker basically had to give me his headlight while he took my flashlight so I can free my 2 hands and not fall off the giant (to me at least, I'm 5 feet) boulders. Also, I don't wear contact lenses so the headlight was basically hitting my glasses half the time making my vision quite unsteady. Thank god for a cap, so bring a cap! It also stopped the excessive sweat from falling down my eyes like a freaking waterfall.

I honestly would've given up because this was not my idea of fun and I was way out of my comfort zone (which was the point but still) but my companions encouraged me and were very patient with me. Every time I said I need a break they were chill and like yeah we could all use a break. Basically, if you want to go on this trilogy make sure your companions don't mind waiting for you to catch your breath/sanity.

Can you tell I am not outdoorsy?

The sunrise was worth it though.

The second mountain was easier to climb but afterwards, I was just basically breathless and honestly, not physically prepared to climb 3 mountains. My tour guide, knowing this is my first hike, was so proud of me. I am not the kind of person who takes posed photos but he said I should have a record of my 'feat.' To be fair it is an amazing feat for me so yeah I posed on top of a rock.

The dogs of the mountain were faster than me, seriously. I made it halfway thru the third one and just had to stop because I was too tired. I urged my companions to go on without me and I just rested and read a book in one of the dining areas (made of bamboo, the air was refreshing. This was honestly the best part of the climb for me.)

After an hour and 30 minutes, my companions completed the trilogy and we rested together then headed over to the Wawa dam for a shower. That was refreshing too and while I definitely teased my co-worker that he almost murdered me from exhaustion, I'm glad he asked me to go on this adventure with them. Would I come back? Only if someone dared me to.

Trudging up Mt. Timbak is a great experience but seeing the fire mummies adds to the greatness of the hike. The "caves" where you can find the mummies is a 20-min walk (depending on your pace) or 5-min ride from the base of Mt. Timbak. From the road, there's stairs going down, but registration is a must and a tour guide. Why? because the guide is your key to the mummies, without him/her, its impossible to see the mummies because the caves are locked. The first time I was there, guides are free and you don't need to pay anything. The last time I visited the place, the caves are closed and not accessible to public yet because they've been doing some kind of "renovation" to the area or rather they're protecting the mummies from becoming "dust". Anyway, seeing the mummies with visible tattoos is really the most interesting part because they're just extraordinary.
