- Susan MOak Harbor, WA13 contributionsWe were in Fukuoka for the day during our cruise. Japanese friends met us and took us to this park. We rented bicycles so we could see most of this enormous park. The bicycles were in excellent condition. There were bicycle parking racks at intervals. We 4 adults had a great time going down the super slide in the playground area, We also enjoyed the bird area, the small but quality zoo, the rose garden which still had some roses in it even in late October, as well as other types of flowers, and of course, the immense fields of cosmos in bloom.
The park is also convenient to access Shikanoshima, a land-tied island connected at a sandbar/causeway. There is scenery galore out there, and a fine seafood restaurant also.Written November 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - JaperJPYokohama, Japan11 contributionsI have a yearly pass that’s truly one of the treasure of Yokohama. - Jenna R2 contributionsI was surprised when my coworkers told me the most popular time to visit this park was during winter. But since visiting, I can see why. It's really beautiful when covered in snow.Written February 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Given2 contributionsIt's my first time going to Japan with my family and it was a tour on that tour I get a chance to go to this place at first I thought it was just an ordinary garden but at night and the lights turn on its beautiful.
The Place is good for people to take photos because it has many spots, not only garden with lights its also have many Koi fish and staff there let you feed them their food by buying them. At night you have the chance to see a light show so its good to go there in the evening and wait until night to see the show
Overall I think it's worth it for taking photos and a whole new experience.Written February 23, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Dave F2 contributionsI have a senior pass to the park and I often use it to go from my house to downtown Shinjuku. - Thomas NTokushima, Japan134 contributionsWe went here with my folks who were visiting and it really dies have some great views. My parents are really into painting so did some of the landscapes. They’re currently building another place so I guess there’ll be even more reason to go in the futureWritten October 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Toru OSetagaya, Japan1,583 contributionsLocated near Okayama castle and a 15 minute walk from the station. Completed in 1700 and retains most of its beauty. This is one of the most fabulous Japanese gardens you should visit when you're in Japan. It should also be combined with an excursion to Okayama castle, which is currently closed for renovations (wait till Nov 2022).Written April 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Thế ĐứcKoganei, Japan12 contributionsAlthough the glass wasn’t that red, it still looks kinda pretty. The park itself is very large that I couldn’t take a full walk through itWritten April 17, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- WTGreg-40Hatsukaichi, Japan68 contributionsComing back to Hiroshima from Osaka at the beginning of Golden Week here in Japan I wanted to go somewhere nice, but not so crowded and since we had never been to Awaji we decided to give it a shot. The place has a little bit of everything. You can pay 500 yen for parking and bring your picnic lunch and enjoy a nice day in their beautiful garden. For a little extra they have a botanical garden and park. You can also go fishing just across the way at Tsubasa Harbor. You can also stay at the Westin Awaji that is on site. Nice place to relax and enjoy some peaceful time with the family.Written May 6, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ZahratubaKashiwa, Japan14 contributionsA weekend trip by car took me to Akebonoyama Park. Set amidst the heart of the Kashiwa city this park is beautiful in every season. You visit it in Spring to welcome the Sakura - cheery blossoms in full bloom. Late spring this year they had a Tulip Festival which reminded me of Holland. Pictureque with the a psuedo-windmill as the backdrop and the tulips in different colors. In summer the flowers change to sunflowers and are a refreshing and a welcoming sight even thought the temperatures start rising. Inside the park is a Japanese garden as well and nearby is a shrine. I have been there so many times that I have lost count.Written May 19, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- ggmHonolulu, HI1,452 contributionsSwirling snow on a dark landscape,
Nothing blooms, the trees sleep,
Tied against the weight of snow.
No better time to enjoy it alone.Written February 15, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - AriBekasi, Indonesia20 contributionsI came here during autumn season, the best spot in this park was the Japanese garden.
Looking at huge number of cherry trees, I believe it will be a good spot during cherry blossom season in April.
It has large park, a house tea which serving japanese tea, and some facilities like rest room and resting places.
Except the Japanese Garden and Tea House, entering this park is free.
The park is walking distance from a train station (JR line).Written November 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
