If you have never been to a Japanese baseball game you are missing a great time and this stadium adds to the event. The home team has cheerleaders and plays music for every hitter. The stadium is full of people wearing team swag and the ballon release in the 7th inning is a whole lot of fun.

For beer lovers, you can bring in your own but they will pour them into paper cups as you enter the stadium. There are women with pony kegs on their back with multiple brands that you can buy in your seat.

The food is not hot dogs etc but not to be missed.

Get to game anywhere but If you’re in the area, this stadium is a not to be missed.

We had a good aerial view of it from the 50th floor of APA hotel. It was being prepared for some upcoming games. It is connected to Kaihinmakuhari station just some walking distance. Very interesting walk as you pass by shopping malls one after another. Nearby to the seaside.

MetLife Stadium is a dome, but the cover sits over the stands like an umbrella, with the sides open. This means there is no temperature control. On rainy days you sit dry, but feel the chill. On hot days, the heat is right there. A Japan Times sportswriter friend told me that MetLife had the worst concessions of any Japanese baseball park. Yet, if you are there to watch baseball and not eat, the views are all mostly okay. Don't select the cheaper outfield area as it is all artificial turf with no true seats and lots of noise from the team bands. In addition, hang around after the game. On most days, the stadium opens the fields to the fans. Kids can race between first and second base.

We love the Rakuten Eagles. The stadium is a 20 min walk from the station, or take a 100 yen shuttle there on game day. A kids park with the only ferris wheel at a baseball stadium in Japan makes this fun for families. The Eagles are not doing so well this year--so, four stars!

Very pleased to visit Hanazono, where rugby has been on the agenda since the 1920s. The streets themselves broadcast this with even the pavement and drain covers showing rugby players! Warm welcome, happy lively site despite heavy rain. Felt like a rugby match , more than the domes we had previously visited.

The organisation for such a big event was impressive. Toilet and drinks queues were a little daunting, but the welcome both in the town and the stadium heavily outweighed these minor difficulties and the whole event had an excellent atmosphere. Toyota Stadium provided us, as a family including a small child, with a good experience. Thankyou.

I enjoyed the view from the top and the museum. Cost 1200y for combined ticket. Museum top floor has all English info the bottom floor is only in Japanese. There's a direct bus from Maruyama Koen station, only 15 minutes.

A very modern and beautiful stadium!

The stadium is clean and has plenty of spaces for walking around behind the seating areas.

Plenty of choices of food - Japanese and Western. You will be spoilt for choice

The merchandise on sale is also great! be sure to visit the store and museum!

Highly recommended to come if you love football!

Note: the walk from the monorail station can be a bit far for some people.

What a great experience for the family! Minor league baseball with a giant children’s pool and umbrella-covered tables in right field. Can bring in own food or buy food and drinks in the stadium. Beer girls serve out on the pool patio too!

We had an extraordinary and spectacular welcome to the rugby World Cup game here. There was a genuine warmth and joy to have reached this stage of rebuilding after the devastation of the tsunami. As the players battled it out on the pitch, crowds of dragonflies swooped around in the sky with distant eagles riding the thermals above us. This is an area to put on your itinerary. Just magic!

This was the first time I ever visited a professional baseball match, in a professional baseball stadium. It's big. It's open. It's hot in summer.
Because the sun was still above the stadium when we arrived at 17:00, sitting down to wait for the game to start was not a good option. Instead we walked around. We visited the merchandise shop. It didn't have particular must have items, just run of the mill Bay Stars merchandise. We did buy a hand fan to wave some air into our faces, with the Bay Stars logo of course.
The chairs are small for my European butt. The seat in front of me was very near. the person in front of me was quite annoyed by my knees being in his back every now and then. I can't blame him.
Just before the start of the game, I went for some food. There were many different Japanese food stalls all around the stadium. During the game, I ordered some more beers from one of the people running around with beer tanks on their backs. It was very convenient, the prices were good. It's a pity they give you a new plastic cup every time you order a new beer.
The entertainment was good. Of course there were chearleaders, mascottes, a car that drove players on the field, and drums and flags to cheer on the crowd.
I noticed some special seating areas, faaaar away from ours. But where we were, we could theoretically catch a homerun ball.
By the time the sun went down, the temperature became good. I am glad it didn't rain. Night fell and we didn't even realise it because of the big stadium lights. Only when the Stars won and the lights were turned off so everyone could watch the fireworks could one notice it was dark. Many people were waving blue and white lights, the colors of the Bay stars. It was all very enjoyable.
