I am delighted to have learned how to prepare Dashi (famous basic Japanese soup stock). We used it in many of the dishes we prepared. It is simple but so delicious! We prepared 8 different dishes, 3 appetizers, an omelette, a soup (bouillon), a rice dish, a chicken and wagyu dishes and a desert! Ouff, I could not eat everything and Yuki (the chef) confirmed the Japanese do not eat as much every day! Lol.
I highly recommend this activity. It is worth your money and I will definitely look for some of the very special ingredients when I am back in my country. And the most important, Yuki is very patient, obviously experienced and very attentive and sweet! She also provided lots of details on the Japanese culture. That was great.
It was also easy to get there by taxi, the place is very clean (as everywhere in Japan I noticed). I felt very secure even by myself.
