We had a great experience at this traditional event-the tea ceremony.
Focus and respect the ceremony, I remember our tea master quote:
"Don’t worry, don’t rush: stop and smell the flowers."

Besides, it is highly recommended that you choose a kimono package as you can take photos during the session. Wearing traditional costume while learning traditional tea ceremony may be a merit point.

We had a wonderful time on our tour. It was our group of 4 people. We saw a lot of different shops, then went to the monster cafe and had some great food. During the performance part I went stage with my friend and got to dance with the monsters, which was fun. Then we went to the shire. It was wonderful learning about different cultures and their practices. Our tour guide Ayaka helped us out a lot. It was our first full day in japan and we were still trying to get to know different things which helped. She also talked to us like friends and made us super comfortable. She wanted to know things about where we were from and we were comparing the two areas. Wonderful tour cant wait to go on our next ones!

I loved this experience, and I think you will too!
Ko, our guide, was a pleasure to chat with on the small hike up to the temple. He was a fantastic photographer for us in the bamboo forest. Lastly, he was clearly knowledgeable and gave us foundational context to Kyoto, the forest, and Zen Buddhism.
The small, but steep, hike up to the Zen temple was totally worth it. Ko acted as a translator while we were guided by Osho, a Zen monk through meditation and a tea ceremony.
This tour was a highlight of our 2 weeks in Japan. Thank you Ko, and thank you Osho!

More then expected, Thomas the guide was great, interesting and informative guide that included the context if matcha with a number of different types of matcha and food.

The highlight was the matcha tea house, meeting and making matcha with the famous matcha tea maker.

This tour was so good, that it made me want to try the other tours.

This food tour was amazing and totally blew away my expectations. Ryan was our tour guide and he was affable, gregarious and always accommodating. We stopped at around 4-5 places and by the time I was done I was more than full from all of the tastings. Arigato Japan overall did a great job of pacing the walking with the tastings, ensuring that our experiences at each restaurant was seamless, and giving all of its participants a reason to try the other food tours. I highly recommend this but also recommend attendees not to eat beforehand or plan to eat afterwards. The tour gives you great places to revisit at a later time and it’s simply a great experience overall and worth the price.

Our guide Akiko was very friendly and knowledgeable. She knew the tea ceremony very well as well as the temples around the area.

Our family really enjoyed this tour. Great way to learn about tea making and history of the little Edo neighborhood. Our tour guide, Yumi, was excellent. She was very open to our suggestions and changes to the schedule. She did a lot of preparations in advance to make the tour interesting and educational for my children. I highly recommend this tour.

My wife, daughters (13 and 11) and I were eagerly anticipating our tour. We met our exceptional guide, Dice, at our hotel and traveled across Tokyo for the tour of the Meji shrine and Harijuku. Our guide was nice and very knowledgeable. The shrine was a "must do" on our itinerary, and did not fail to live up to the hype. After the shrine, we headed to the Monster Cafe. We were whisked into the establishment and ordered lunch. The atmosphere was unlike any establishment we had ever visited. The food, however, was somewhere between bad theme park fair and substandard hospital food. Although the Monster Cafe is something to see, sitting down for lunch was an entirely different story. We then turned to a tour of Harajuku. Again, our guide was exceptional, but we probably didn't need a guide for this portion. Merely walk the streets was enough, but definitely having our knowledgeable guide was an added plus.
