- Gabriella B1 contributionWe booked the "Tokyo: Tsukiji Fish Market Seafood and Sightseeing tour" with Kanako. The tour included:
- a stop at the Buddhist temple near the Tsukiji Market with the explanation of its history and of the japanese worship traditions
- a walking tour in the Tsukiji Market with a fatty tuna sashimi (the best i have ever eaten), medium fatty tuna nigiri and tamagoyaki samples, a wonderful lunch (until 1500 yen included in the tour price) and a mochi as dessert
- the access to the observation deck overlooking Tokyo Bay in the Shiodome City Center
Kanako was very kind and friendly, prepared and available to answer at any question we had.

Shared about the history of Kyoto and was able to answer good questions and recommended local cuisine / snacks to try. His English is easily understood and very considerate. He helped the other travel parties find the transport to get to their next program. Kei has been very precise on setting everything up. Loved all the food that we tasted and seeing all the great restaurants. Woody took us to great places. - MariaMelbourne, Australia18 contributionsOur guide Hori was very fun and had great command of English. She also lived in France for 20 yrs.. made us feel at ease. Our conversations were not small talk and it felt like we got to know her and other tour members well. small group of 4. Almost like a couple of friends bar hopping and joking around. The first stop was delicious- okonomiyaki hiroshima style. The grapefruit sour drink was so good I had to order 2! next stop was a gyoza joint in an underground basement. Also very delicious with fun games where you can win drinks. Grape sour drink was very yummy. Both places we would never have found without this tour. Last stop was a sake bar. - TravelBoo2Belfast, UK85 contributionsWe took a 10 hour tour tour to Kyoto from Kobe port with Pinpoint in April 24 with four of our friends.
We contacted Pinpoint (Kristi
) a few months beforehand and sent through our top 6 sites in order of preference that we wanted to visit. They then came back to us quickly with an itinerary covering most of what we asked for, giving pick up times and details for our guide.
I'd like to add that for 6 people this was considerably cheaper than our cruise line excursion, which did not cover everything we wanted to see and it felt a more intimate and immersive experience than the previous excursions we had taken with the cruise line.
I can't say enough about our guide Kevin.
He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and thoughtful (one of our party has mobility issues and Kevin took this into consideration when trying to find parking and visiting the sites). The guy is a legend.
Our itinerary included :
Bamboo Forest
Imperial Palace
Higashiyama/Gion district
Fushimi Inari-taisha
All and all we would highly recommend Pinpoint. The communication from Kristi was excellent, contacting us directly when she heard our docking time changed, to reschedule our pick up time. - 1CourtneymorrisPerth, Australia10 contributionsThis was our second time back to Japan and our second time going on this tour! Our first tour was with Ken and we had the most amazing time! Ken was so lovely, fun and we felt so comfortable. He showed us lots of places we would’ve had trouble navigating alone due to language barriers. We laughed, ate, drank and chatted the night away!
Everyone had so much fun and it really topped off our trip. We knew if we returned we had to book again!!
Fast forward a year we had the pleasure of meeting Miki, who hosted this years tour. Miki took us to some really fun bars and encouraged us to all try new things! Of course we finished the night with karaoke. Miki joined in on the fun and made sure we all stayed together. I can’t recommend these tours enough, it’s such a fun way to see Japan and meet new people. Any age is welcome! We are so glad we booked this tour again this year.
