The trip was amazing, we stayed inside a kelotok boat for 3d 2n , fells kind of romantic, with mosquito net placed during the nights when we’re sleeping, 😁 the food also amazing . We went to orang utan feeding points , watching them in the wild, they are majestic creatures . Also seeing proboscus monkeys, and other creatures ……..,👌🏼👌🏼 I recommend you to come if you like the nature and a bit of adventure. Our guide name is Aria +62 822-3448-8428 , very patient with us 🤣🤣 , @ Tanjung Puting tour guide IG

The boat and guide for the early morning trip to the Lok Baintan, floating market. Send an app to Joe, +6281251828311, and your trip will be arranged immediately! He lives in Banjarsamin, knows the area well, speaks good English, is very friendly and service oriented. The price is very affordable! If you spend more time in Banjarsamin and are interested, Joe can arrange a sightseeing tour of Banjarsamin, Venice of the East. In short, Joe is the man to contact!!

People so friendly. Lovely village, nice spots to enjoy a cool non alcoholic drink and watch sun come down..Did 4 day tour with Sam from kalimantantours.com. Great adventure but not for faint hearted. Saw turtles, dolphins, and whale sharks.

Camp Leakey is situated in the beautiful Tanjung Puting National Park, Borneo.
You will either have a local guide who does different stops with you or stay on one of the boats for a couple of nights.
The camp is very interesting, especially if you read up on Dr Galdikas' story and the work she has done there.
It is amazing to see the orangutans in their natural habitat. At a certain time, the park staff put fruit and yams out for the orangutans to eat. Nice to watch, whereas seeing them in the forest, away from the feeding station, is even more special.
People are the only problem here, often loud and disrespectful towards the animals.

The Equator Monument though not special in any particular way is of extreme geographical importance and according to what I personally noticed often visited.

Beautiful sunrise across the river from Harris Hotel. Surreal experience watching the sunrise and coal barges streaming downriver while having breakfast.

Definitely worth a visit, try not to come on Sundays and other public holidays.
It is a huge lake, but there are actually really a lot of jellyfish in it. They are really, really cute from tiny little ones to rather big ones.
Go in with your mask and snorkel, no fins, and enjoy watching the beautiful jellyfish.
