Bali Shopping Guide

While images of its sparkling turquoise coast, magnificent Hindu temples, and rice fields bathed in golden sunrises come to mind when we think of Bali, the island actually flaunts a more well-rounded vacation experience, adding into the mix many opportunities for unforgettable retail therapy. From the capital city of Denpasar to the popular beach town of Kuta, shopping spots and great goods worth taking home abound. Whether you’re a complete shopaholic or someone just looking for gifts to take home, you’ll be filling up that extra suitcase in no time.

Jalan Batu Balong

Amidst Canggu’s resort villas, yoga studios, and barefoot bohemian vibes, you’ll find a shopper’s paradise right along the main thoroughfare of Jalan Batu Balong. Restaurants and cafes that exude hipster confidence and al fresco seating are naturally abundant, as are boutique shops, board stores, and markets that are effortlessly cool and undoubtedly Instagrammable. That long list includes, of course, the Original Canggu Market at Old Man’s, which gets more than its share of young, hip shoppers.
