- TaherAlbaghliJulianKuwait City, Kuwait1,923 contributionsI am visiting Hong Kong and star ferry again after more than twenty years. In my opinion you must-do in Hong Kong! The iconic Star Ferry offers a quick, affordable, and scenic ride across the harbour. The views of the skyline and Victoria Harbour are simply stunning. - WanderingRoosterSeattle, WA245 contributionsSpectacular Chinese garden next to Chi Lin Nunnery. The garden here is beautiful and meticulously maintained which examples of various plants, ponds, bonsai, rocks, traditional wood craft and joinery, etc. It is large enough to be worth the trip, but not so large that it would require an entire day to see. It is easily paired with the nunnery right across the street for a day or half day outing. Also a great place for some unique gifts and souvenirs.Written May 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The harbour's deep, establishment as a British colony in 1841 and its subsequent development as a trading centre. The harbour area is live there are also, K11 mall, Bruce lee statue, ferry boat cafes. - fire-tower3,099 contributionsWe have not been to the Ladies Market for a couple of years, and we visited this place on a Monday night. Over the years, we note the degrading of the market in that it does not command the level of visitors of the past. The wares are also not that interesting, other than a couple of souvenir stalls. The handbags, etc, carrying the big brands are likely to be copies. When we asked the price of a pouch we were interested, the stall-keeper gave a ridiculous price, which steadily reduced to half the original asking price when we did not bite and started to walk away. So do look around and haggle if you are indeed interested in a purchase.Written July 10, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - fire-tower3,099 contributionsThe permanent exhibits at the History Museum are closed for renovation, but there is currently a free exhibition on the Ancient Civilisation of the Xia,
Shang and Zhou Dynasties in Henan Province. We found it interesting going through this exhibition, to though not everyone may appreciate it. You can club this visit together if you intend to visit the Science Museum next door.Written July 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
